Ben Affleck buys new house worth $19.2 million in the same neighborhood as ex-wife Jennifer Garner
Ben Affleck wants to be close to his family, more so his ex-wife Jennifer Garner. According to new reports, the Batman actor has bought a new house in the same neighborhood as his ex-wife Jennifer Garner, for a whopping $19.2 million.
The house, situated in the Pacific Palisades' Riviera Palisades neighborhood, has been deemed as an "entertainer's dream house" due to its traditional East Coast decor style and is only a mile away from Garner's Pacific Palisades house.
The swanky house, first reported by X17online, boasts of seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms along with a screening room, gym, family room and maid’s room as well as a backyard with pool, spa, outdoor BBQ and guest house.
According to a source close to E! News, the real estate move on Affleck's part was so that he could spend more time with his children. "Everyone has a good relationship," said the source. "They are adults who are co-parenting."
This comes months after the father-of-three was first spotted house hunting with girlfriend Lindsay Shookus.
“Ben is looking to buy a family friendly house,” a source previously told People magazine in October 2017. “Lindsay shared her opinions, but it was clear that they are not buying a house together.”
However, another source at E! News said that the Gone Girl actor is pretty excited about his new purchase and cannot wait to move in near his three kids: daughter Violet, 12, and Seraphina, 9, along with son Samuel, 6. The source said, "He took the kids there over the weekend to see it."
As for when's the big move coming, the actor will start shifting into his new house once he gets back from shooting Triple Frontier in Hawaii.
Affleck had been living in a rented place ever since he moved out of the family estate after his split with Garner. Before they had filed their divorce last April, he used to live in the guesthouse during their separation which the former couple announced in 2015.
