In September 2021, many TikTok users believed that Bella was dating rapper Tyga. The rumour spread after two singers were seen together in various TikTok videos. In a Los Angeles mansion, the two musicians were seen dancing to the rapper's music, GENIUS CELEBS, reported.
The couple was reportedly said to even have a leaked sex tape online. Despite the fact that the video was never seen, relationship rumors continued on the Internet, Heavy reported. However, Bella later addressed the rumors, claiming that all of the assumptions were incorrect. She also said that she is only the rapper's "friend".

Bella filed for divorce from her husband, Tyler, in November 2022, requesting no spousal support and keeping her last name. Aside from Bella's secret marriage, fans were surprised when they discovered that her surname is not Poarch, but rather the surname of her husband. The singer's real name is Denarie Bautista Taylor. The singer had maried Tyler in 2019, according to court documents.
Despite keeping her marriage private, Bella has spoken out about her other dating and breakup experiences. The singer said she has been single for a year during an interview with H3 Podcast. She also spoke about her time serving in the United States Navy after she enlisted at age 17 because it got her away from her abusive adoptive family. The 'Build a B***h' singer said that after she left the military, her then boyfriend (not Tyler) broke up with her on email which said, “I’m sorry, but I’m unable to do this any longer. I’m ending our relationship." Poarch revealed that when she enlisted, she was very naive and "didn't know anything about starting a relationship." Bella recalled going on her first date after she bought her first phone. “I’d bought my first phone, that’s when I started meeting new people. And there was this one guy who got my number and we went out on a date," she revealed, as reported by Capital FM. After the date at a fancy seafood restaurant, her date told her, "ok, I’ll text you tomorrow, i’ll see you." But when he didn't text her back the next day, she went crying to her roommate saying, "I think my boyfriend broke up with me." Her roommate explained the situation to her. "She was like, ‘We’ve only been here for a week… he didn’t even ask you if you could be his girlfriend’. And I was like oh, because in the Philippines, it’s different... if you’re out seen on date that means you’re together.”
Bella Poarch's current controversy about her ex-husband is not her first one. She also was caught up in a tattoo controversy over a rising sun tattoo she had on her arm. The Japanese rising sun tattoo is offensive to south Koreans as the tattoo depicts Japan’s war flag till World War II and the country's imperialist actions in Korea. However, Bella Porch was unaware of her tattoos significance. After the controversy, the TikTok star covered up the tattoo and later had it removed for good.
