LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Singer Bebe Rexha expressed her disappointment with the online discourse surrounding her body on April 16. She took to Twitter to share a screenshot of the 'For You' tab on her TikTok page where the search bar had pulled up the trending topic of "Bebe Rexha Weight." In response, she wrote, "Seeing that search bar is so upsetting. I’m not mad because it’s true. I did gain weight. But it just sucks. Thank you to all the people who love me no matter what."

Bebe has always been candid about her struggles with weight, and this latest episode has hit her hard. She admitted, "I’ve always struggled with my weight. A b**** likes to eat." However, fans have been quick to offer their support and encouragement. One fan urged Bebe not to pay attention to the haters, while another pointed out that she was being used in weight loss ads, with photoshopped images of her at heavier and lighter weights. Bebe herself acknowledged the unfairness of it, saying, "That’s just messed up,' reported Hollywood Life.

Rexha opens up about struggles with body image

Bebe has been open about her struggles with body image as evidenced by a tearful social media video she posted in December 2021. In the video, shared on TikTok, the 'Break My Heart' singer expressed how weight gain has affected her self-confidence and made it difficult for her to enjoy the holiday season.

"It is the holidays, and I know we're all supposed to be merry and like, 'Yay, it's the holidays,' which I am - ish," Bebe began the video. She then revealed that she is the "heaviest" she's ever been and is feeling uncomfortable in her own skin. "I just feel disgusting, you know, like in my own body," she admitted. Bebe went on to explain that her feelings about her weight have caused her to take a step back from social media. "I haven't been posting as much because I don't feel good in my skin, and when I don't feel good, I don't want to post. That's really honestly the reason I haven't been posting in the last year or so as much as I used to," she said.

Rexha's third album release and exciting collaborations

Despite the recent online scrutiny surrounding her body, Bebe has a lot on her plate to keep her busy. Her highly anticipated third album, self-titled 'Bebe,' is set to be released on April 28. This follows the success of her last album, 'Better Mistakes,' which dropped in May 2021, and her debut record, 'Expectations,' released in 2018.

The debut single from the upcoming album, 'Heart Wants What It Wants,' was released in February 2023 and has already climbed the charts, reaching number 20 on the Billboard Adult Top 40 and number 25 on the Mainstream Top 40. Over the years, Bebe has collaborated with several well-known artists, including Florida Georgia Line, David Guetta, Machine Gun Kelly, Nicki Minaj, and Martin Garrix. In an exciting new collaboration, Bebe will team up with Snoop Dogg for a new duet, 'Satellite,' which is set to be released on April 20.
