'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' Reunion: Fans label Daisy 'terrible leader' for not supporting Gabriela
Second stew Gabriela Barragn's decision to quit 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' mid-charter-season left fans in shock. The stew was so frustrated by the politics around her and feeling like nobody aboard Parsifal III understood her, that she felt it was in her best interests to quit the show and focus on her healing.
Though her boss Daisy Kelliher and Captain Glenn Shephard respected her decision and let her leave, fans however felt that Gaby shouldn't have left. During the show's reunion when Gaby was asked if she would have continued working on the yacht had her co-worker Ashley Marti wasn't as competitive and hostile towards her, she said yes. Gaby pointed out how she wasn't trying to pull a rank or was being competitive but was just trying to do her job, on the other hand, Ashley was just being very difficult. Gaby also expressed how she felt that Ashley was "poisoning the well" by speaking ill about her to everybody, which in turn may have influenced Daisy to not take any action. After hearing this Daisy declared that she wasn't influenced and continued defending Ashley while still being totally nonchalant about Gaby's reasons for quitting.

Thankfully for Gaby, the other crew members, especially Gary King came to her defense and felt that Daisy should have diffused the tension between her stews instead of letting it blow up. Daisy continued feeling that she wasn't in the wrong and insisted that she was focussing on the "big picture" while staying away from the petty drama. Fans sided with Gary and Gaby, and called out Daisy for being a "terrible leader".
A fan tweeted, "Sorry Daisy, but Ashley’s constant complaining did influence some of her actions toward Gabriela. #BDSY #BelowDeck #BelowDeckSailing #BelowDeckSailingYacht." "Daisy, GIRL! You are in denial. Call a thing, a thing. Gabi, Gary, the footage… everyone is telling you what was going on and you’re still defending Ashley #BelowDeckSailing #BelowDeckSailingYacht," wrote a fan. Another fan questioned, "Daisy why didn’t you have your first stewardess back? #BelowDeckSailing."

Another fan shared, "Daisy can't admit she was a terrible leader this season #BelowDeckSailing." "Relieved everyone is saying Gabi was right, I wish Daisy would just admit she messed up #BelowDeckSailing," echoed a fan. "Daisy Daisy be mature and admit you were wrong Gabrielle came to you several times and you did not do your job and rectify the problem.
