'Below Deck Sailing Yacht': Gary King claims he wasn't sexually assaulted by Ashley Marti, fans say 'he’s being too nice'

Parsifal III's first officer aka Gary King finally addressed the sexual assault allegation during the reunion special of 'Below Deck Sailing Yacht' season 3, but fans aren't willing to buy his side of the story. During the season, fans watched stewardess Ashley Marti pursue Gary relentlessly despite him explicitly telling her that he wasn't interested. Things reached a breaking point when Ashley began giving a massage to a very drunk Gary, and then proceeded to hook up with him, though he was heard saying no. 

The show's fans immediately dubbed the incident as Ashley sexually assaulting Gary. To make things worse, Gary claimed that he didn't remember their hookup, which further infuriated not only Ashley but also fans. While Ashley felt that Gary was being 'disrespectful' towards her, fans felt that Gary was in denial about his assault. So, when Gary was asked to weigh in about the incident during the reunion, he kept things very professional and claimed that he didn't feel like he was sexually assaulted by Ashley. Since Ashley skipped attending the reunion. Gary clarified that though he and Ashley weren't friends he pointed out that she didn't have any malicious intentions and urged the show's fans and followers to leave Ashley alone.

Though Gary insisted that Ashley didn't violate him, fans weren't willing to believe him. A fan tweeted, "Gary apologized to Ashley for Ashley’s actions. A. Mess. Can’t stand her. #BelowDeckSailingYacht." "Gary is a kind hearted person cuz she def did that sh*t #BelowDeckSailingYacht," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "#BelowDeckSailingYacht the look on Gary’s face says it all. He’s being too nice."

Another fan expressed, "I don't think Gary is being honest about Ashley. #BelowDeckSailing." "I don’t get that. If roles were reversed it would’ve been… #BelowDeckSailingYacht," pointed out a fan. "Gary you didn't clarify the assault allegation, you just said leave Ashley alone #BelowDeckSailingReunion #BelowDeckSailing," observed a fan.
