Many Hollywood celebrities took turns in slamming POTUS Donald Trump at a virtual fundraiser for Joe Biden on Sunday, July 26. Among the stars was none other than Barbra Streisand who was very vocal about her disapproval of Trump. She made a scathing attack on Trump's "incompetence" while calling him a "coward" in her speech.

The 'Funny Girl' actress spoke for 8 minutes about the "nightmare that is Donald Trump" and told viewers that the USA "can't survive four more years" with him as President.

"We're living in the nightmare that is Donald Trump who is pouring gasoline on the fire. He calls himself the law and order president, but he doesn't obey the law and he can't keep the order," Streisand said, Daily Mail reveals. "This reckless man doesn't have the wisdom or the character to lead our nation," she added. "Our country is coming apart," she shared before adding that there have been "shocking violations of civil rights". "A few weeks ago, Trump called out the troops against peaceful protesters. That is what cowards do when they are scared," Streisand revealed.

The singer-actress also talked about George Floyd and his world-changing impact, the Black Lives Matter protests, and how much of a nightmare Trump was proving to be. Former Minneapolis cop Derek Chauvin had knelt on the neck of 46-year-old George Floyd for almost nine minutes despite Floyd pleading for his life and saying that he could not breathe.

The shocking incident had been captured in a viral video that sparked outrage not just in the US but across the world. "No one should die with a knee on their neck. Systemic racism has to be uprooted. People need to be heard, valued and cared for," Streisand said.

The actress, who is supporting Joe Biden, said that he is a "decent ethical man with an open mind and an open heart." She said that she believes he will be leading with 'empathy' and that is something that the country needs "now more than ever."

"Donald Trump has failed us. And we cannot survive four more years of his incompetence. I'm sad and embarrassed by his lack of humanity. But Joe Biden understands the anguish we're feeling right now. He will listen to people rather than greeting them with guns. All they want is justice. It's as simple as that," she continued.

The fundraiser titled 'Celebration for Change' was hosted by talk show host Jay Leno and it managed to raise more than $760,000. Many social media users were full of praise for Streisand and commented on her views. One such user shared, "Whether she sings in poetry or advocates in prose, ⁦@BarbraStreisand⁩ is inspiring & thrilling to listen to."

Another added, "This is so inspiring. My heart is just bursting. We are going to win this, together." Yet another wrote, "Somebody get Barbara Streisand a mic so she can drop it! BOOM! #CelebrationForChange."

Artistes such as John Legend, Andra Day, Adam Lambert, Sara Bareilles, and Dave Matthews also took part in the event.
