Arnold Schwarzenegger's 'FUBAR' dethrones 'Queen Charlotte' to become #1 on Netflix's Top 10 charts
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Arnold Schwarzenegger has been a force to be reckoned with for more than five decades now and has given several extraordinary performances. Earlier this month, we saw Schwarzenegger leading a TV series for the first time in his professional acting career and it seems to be yielding some great results. The action-comedy series ‘FUBAR’ starring Schwarzenegger in the lead has opened to a bumper response and conquered the Netflix Top 10 charts.
As per the official press release by Netflix, ‘FUBAR’ took the world by storm and debuted at the #1 spot on the English TV list with 88.49 million hours viewed in the first four days of its release, making it the most-watched title during the May 22-28 viewing window. The streaming platform also revealed that the series is currently #1 in 52 countries and appeared in the Top 10 in 90 different countries.
With those figures, the series managed to dethrone 'Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story' from the number one position on the list. The prequel spin-off of the Netflix series ‘Bridgerton’ turned out to be one of the most-watched Netflix original series in recent months and debuted at the #1 spot upon its release. As of now, the series has been relegated to third position with 42.90 million hours viewed. On the other hand, ‘To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before’ spin-off ‘XO, Kitty’ claimed the #2 spot with 63.78 million hours.
‘FUBAR’ sees Arnold Schwarzenegger playing the role of retired CIA employee Luke Brunner who has been called back for a deadly mission. However, things go downhill when he gets to know that his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro) is also working on the same case as an undercover agent. Now, Luke has the responsibility to defeat the bad guy and be a good father at the same time. More importantly, how far is he willing to go to prevent his daughter from making the same mistakes as he once did?
The series opened to extremely positive reviews from the audiences who noted that the show played to Arnold’s strengths. Fans feel that the latest series is really funny and doesn’t take itself seriously. That’s one of the reasons why this show is such a massive success among viewers.
