Armie Hammer's alleged 'victim' reveals disgraced star sent her 'manipulative' texts to 'evoke sympathy'
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Armie Hammer's alleged rape victim has accused him of being "manipulative" and trying "evoke sympathy" with his suicide attempt story. Efrosina 'Effie' Angelova, 26, alleged in 2021 that the 36-year-old actor "violently raped" her. The bombshell accusation was followed by several other women who came forward and said Hammer was into kinky sex and even cannibalism.
The disgraced thespian, who has kept a low profile since the allegations surfaced, broke his silence on Saturday, February 4, when he claimed he tried to commit suicide after Effie spoke out. The star has strongly denied the accusations through his attorney, saying all of his sexual encounters were "completely consensual, discussed and agreed upon in advance and mutually participatory."

Armie's abuse 'affected not only me, but my family'
Effie has now claimed that the 'The Social Network' star had told her the same suicide story years before she opened up about the abuse she suffered at his hands. According to her, he is only sharing the account publicly now in order to gain sympathy and silence his alleged victims. Taking to her Instagram Stories Monday night, February 6, Effie said Armie's abuse "had affected not only me, but my family." This came after she previously claimed the actor raped her for four hours straight and "repeatedly slammed her head against a wall," leaving her with bruises on her face.
Effie said Armie "was just worried that I was telling my family" about what she went through. She included screenshots of alleged text messages they exchanged to corroborate her claims. Armie wrote, "This all sounds intense. I'm sorry you are going through all of this and I'm sorry your parents have gotten so involved. And I'm sorry your parents are so hurt seeing you hurt. I am not really sure how to respond or move forward. Other than to say I'm sorry and I completely understand why you are upset and why your parents are."
The Ocean Story
In the following post, Effie revealed that Armie had told her about how he tried to commit suicide in the ocean years before she spoke out against him. "It made me so worried about him, he made me feel bad for telling him his abuse messed me up and it made me want to take care of him instead," she claimed. "He disappeared for a couple of days which only made me more worried about him," she recalled. "Now he claims his ocean story happened after I spoke out publicly," Effie noted. "It seems so manipulative because he knows his ocean story shut me up last time and evoked sympathy and it's like now he's trying it again." She added, "I think on some level he feels guilty," sharing a text of her allegedly telling Hammer years ago, "I cried again today thinking about what you told me. I wish I could give you a hug and make it better."
Armie shared the apparent "ocean story" publicly over the weekend, saying he contemplated suicide on the Cayman Islands after the allegations against him surfaced. "I just walked out into the ocean and swam out as far as I could and hoped that either I drowned, or was hit by a boat, or eaten by a shark," he told Graydon Carter's Air Mail. "Then I realized that my kids were still on shore and that I couldn't do that to my kids."
Armie also defended his sexual proclivities, saying he's been interested in BDSM since the age of 13 when he was allegedly sexually abused by a youth pastor. "What that did for me was it introduced sexuality into my life in a way that it was completely out of my control," the actor claimed. "I was powerless in the situation. I had no agency in the situation. Sexuality was introduced to me in a scary way where I had no control. My interests then went to: I want to have control in the situation, sexually," he added.
