This just in: Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson are engaged! All you fans rooting for the ever so cute Harry Potter obsessed couple can now rest easy because Billboard has confirmed the news that was first reported by Us Weekly.
The news comes just three weeks after the couple was first reported to be dating. Despite it just being a post on her Instagram story, people see to be pretty convinced that the speculation is true.
The said story shows the 'No Tears Left to Cry' singer surrounded by her mother, and brother Frankie Grande, where she appears to be sporting what seems like a big rock on her left ring finger.
Even though the couple is yet to announce their engagement and their reps have not yet returned Billboard's requests for comments, Grande did share a very cryptic tweet not too long after the news of their engagement broke the internet.
The tweet said, "i love u sm ok bye" with a lot of the shy-monkey emoji face filling in between the gaps.
Grande and Davidson's relationship, even though brief, has been all over social media with strings of their flirty Instagram posts and comments making the rounds all over. Their first official photo came from the 'Saturday Night Live' star, Davidson himself, where the two were seen sporting Harry Potter robes, with the caption, "the chamber of secrets has been opened..."
The couple started dating around mid-May, following Grande’s breakup from her longtime boyfriend, rapper Mac Miller. At that time, Davidson too was recently single after breaking up with Larry David’s daughter, Cazzie David. Their relationship was quite the long one too. Grande and Davidson had originally met on the set of 'Saturday Night Live' when she was a host.
In addition to Billboard's confirmation, sources close to the couple also spoke to People magazine, confirming the engagement. “It’s a recent engagement," a source shared with the outlet. "They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding."
The couple's last appearance prior to this latest relationship update was last week when they attended Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s 'Kids See Ghost' listening party in Los Angeles. The two were spotted cozying up around the bonfire bash to celebrate the album's debut.
Recently Grande had also taken to her Instagram account to joke about how she is just a Pete Davidson fan account, with a photo of the couple, captioned, "i am but a pete davidson update acc stay tuned for more (pete follows / comments sumtimes)"
Even though the news of their engagement comes just within weeks of their relationship going official, guess what they say is true - when you know, you just know.
