Angelina Jolie's father Jon Voight steps out for a coffee run at Starbucks in Hollywood Hills
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Angelina Jolie's father Jon Voight was spotted making a rare appearance as he stepped out to get coffee in Hollywood Hills on Thursday, February 9. The 84-year-old actor sported a casual look as he donned a basic black jacket along with matching trousers. He wore a blue checkered shirt underneath and paired the whole ensemble with brown shoes.
For the morning outing, the Hollywood actor, who starred in the hit flick 'Midnight Cowboy', appeared to be in a good mood as he could be seen donning a soft smile. The Academy Award winner was also spotted running errands in Beverly Hills on the very same day. The acclaimed 70s actor was photographed walking towards his car as he also stopped to talk to fans. Meanwhile, Voight is also a father to Jolie's brother James Haven whom he shares with his late ex-wife Marcheline Bertrand. However, the actor reportedly has an estranged relationship with both his children.

'I am concerned for Angie and the children'
Despite rarely making public appearances or statements, the 'Ray Donovan' star expressed his sadness and concern after Jolie announced her divorce from former husband Brad Pitt after two years of marriage back in September 2016. Voight ensured that he believes "something very serious must have happened" for Jolie to take this step. The 'Maleficient' actress filed for divorce on September 19, 2016, citing irreconcilable differences.
"It's very sad. Something very serious must have happened for Angelina to make a decision like this," Voight said, adding that he is unaware why his daughter took the decision to end things at the time. "It's a sad thing. Say a little prayer. I am concerned for Angie and the children, and hopefully, I'll be seeing them very soon," he said, according to News18.
'Brangelina' were together for 14 years
The former Hollywood couple dubbed as 'Brangelina' shocked fans worldwide after announcing their decision to part ways. The exes ended their relationship of 12 years including, two years of marriage. Since then, a ton of bombshell revelations have come under public scrutiny about the Hollywood A-listers such as Pitt allegedly abusing his son Maddox and Jolie during a plane incident and the 'Fight Club' actor suing Jolie over her decision to put her stake in Château Miraval winery on the market.
'Things became difficult'
Back in 2017, Jolie got candid about how she has been dealing with the divorce. "Things got bad. I didn't want to use that word . . . Things became 'difficult.' . . . [Our lifestyle] was not in any way a negative. That was not the problem. That is and will remain one of the wonderful opportunities we are able to give our children . . . They're six very strong-minded, thoughtful, worldly individuals. I'm very proud of them," she told Vanity Fair.
