Brad Pitt fury that Angelina Jolie’s kids called her brother James Haven 'DAD', as bizarre relationship resurfaces
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are involved in a broiling custody battle over their children. This is a classic case of a famous Hollywood couple shattering into pieces, but the history of their crumbled relationship is far worse than what fans know. Be it the infamous private plane fight or Brad Pitt's troubled relationship with the children, the history of this highly publicized divorce is nothing less than disturbing. One major factor for this could be Jolie's less-known brother James Haven.
The fan-favorite couple, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are far from reconciling and are ending things on a bad note. So much so that the celebrities are bad-mouthing each other post the divorce. While there were several reasons for the growing indifferences, what was the final nail in the coffin? Well, many believe it was the uncomfortable closeness that Jolie shared with her older brother James Haven. In the final years of their marriage, James moved in with Hollywood A-listers to help take care of their children. According to Radar back in 2017, the relationship flatlined due to James Haven, as was confirmed by the documentary filmmaker Ian Halperin who dived into Brangelina’s inner circle for better clarity. Halperin said, "James was so close to them that he was actually living with them. It put Brad over the edge. Brad gave Ang the ultimatum; it’s him or me!"

This claim was baked by the long-running incest rumors between Haven and Jolie. Halperin added, "I get into the whole rumors of incest. I do conclude unwaveringly in the film (Broken: The Incredible Story of Brangelina) it was mainly a publicity stunt and it worked, but on the flip side people agree the kiss was too close for comfort." This was in reference to the closeness that the siblings shared. However, it crossed the lines when Jolie and James were photographed locking lips not once but twice backstage and on a red carpet back in 2000.
The downfall of Brangelina
In 2016, James went to help out the couple with their children by taking on the role of the head nanny in their household. However, this arrangement last for too long as it bothered Brad Pitt, mainly because the children started calling James "Dad." This would be the final wake-up call for Brad Pitt. As he was always away from home to take his career to new heights, James reportedly filled in Pitt's shoes and some of their children perceived someone else to be their father. In July 2016, Ok! Magazine reported that the youngest of the lot, Knox and Vivienne, started calling James their "Daddy" as he was spending so much time with his nieces and nephews.
The relationship ultimately went out of the window with no proper exit, leaving both parties with a dent that's irreparable. The controversial divorce was further fueled when the infamous 2016 private plane fight came to light. According to a Page Six report, after a verbal altercation between the two involved parties, Pitt lost her control and allegedly charged one of their children. To protect her children, Jolie put Pitt in a choke hold which he tried to break by throwing himself back and pushing her into the chairs behind them. Jolie alleged that she suffered injuries on her back and elbow and shared photos of the same with the FBI. Be it James or the years of growing separation, the once-loved relationship is now in a pit hole.
