Angela Lansbury's family sells late actress's Brentwood home of 40 years for $4.9M
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Angela Lansbury's nearly 40-year-old Los Angeles estate has a new owner, and it has been claimed that the late actress's family sold the house she lived in for many years. In her Brentwood home of more than 40 years, Lansbury died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 96 in October 2022. Lansbury paid $925,000 for the house in 1985 with her husband Peter Shaw, whom she wed in 1949 and who survived her until his death at the age of 84 in 2003.
According to real estate insiders, Lansbury's family finalized the $4.9 million sale of the Brentwood, California, estate on Tuesday, April 18, reports TMZ. The house brought in $400K more for the actress' estate than its initial $4.5 million selling price when it was sold for $4.9 million. Deidre, the late actress' 69-year-old daughter, told the Wall Street Journal earlier this month that "it was time to move on" and said that her mother would have preferred the estate to be sold.
