BUCHAREST, ROMANIA: Andrew Tate, an infamous figure in the realm of social media, has undoubtedly garnered substantial attention as one of the most widely discussed internet personalities worldwide. Recently, the influencer, known for his highly misogynistic views, made a controversial comment regarding a Covid-19-related issue, where he sarcastically ridiculed the tense situation between Russia and Ukraine.

As of March 2023, both Andrew and his brother Tristan Tate find themselves under house arrest. Last week, the Romanian authorities pressed charges against Andrew and his brother for their alleged involvement in sexual assault, human trafficking, and organized crime.

'Putin cured it'

A Twitter account known for its amusing impersonation of Elon Musk, CEO of Twitter, recently engaged its followers with a thought-provoking query. The tweet humorously inquired about the whereabouts of Covid-19, playfully indicating the diminished coverage of the topic in mainstream news outlets.

The user wrote, "What happened to COVID? Asking for a friend."

Without delay, Andrew swiftly joined the conversation in the comment section of the tweet, delivering a response laden with sarcasm. The influencer astutely observed the prevailing shift in focus from Covid-related updates to the coverage of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Andrew wrote, "Putin cured it when he invaded Ukraine."

'Bombing solves everything'

Andrew's sarcastic reaction towards the Russia and Ukraine situation in response to a Covid-19 query quickly caused a stir across various social media platforms. A user wrote, "This come back is Epic 😂" Another user wrote, "Bombing solves everything." A user stated, "The interesting thing about this observation is that it points to the media being the one with the power. The media switched from covering Covid to covering the war. Thats all that actually happened." One user commented, "I noticed this too. The whole covid thing had an iron grip on everything. Then the war started and it was all gone in no time."
