Anderson Cooper shares pictures of son Sebastian celebrating his first Christmas with big brother Wyatt
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK: Anderson Cooper celebrated his first Christmas as the father-of-two. The 55-year-old CNN anchor posted several cute photos of his sons, two year-old Wyatt and 10-month-old Sebastian Luke, celebrating Christmas together on Instagram on Tuesday, December 26.
In one adorable picture, Wyatt shows the presents under the Christmas tree to Sebastian, who is attentively listening to what his big brother is saying. The boys were seen smiling at the camera in a second picture with Wyatt holding a candy cane. "Wyatt helped Sebastian celebrate his very first Christmas," Cooper wrote alongside the pictures.

Cooper, who co-parents his boys with his ex-partner Benjamin Maisani, spoke candidly about the close bond between his two sons on 'The Late Show with Stephen Colbert' in September. According to the journalist, he and his oldest son have a sweet daily routine that includes Wyatt's younger sibling. "I wake up Wyatt first, and then he wants to come with me to wake up Sebastian, and he likes to get into Sebastian's crib," Cooper shared, adding, "He has this thing now, I don't know where it came from, where he's like, 'I want to smell Sebastian, I want to smell the baby.'"
"And I say, 'Smell the baby.' And he smells the baby's head. And every time he says the same thing, 'He smells like an angel,' and I'm like, 'Are you from a Christmas special?'" Cooper said with a laugh. "Get that kid over to Hallmark!" Colbert joked.
Cooper announced that he became a father for the second time while hosting 'Andersoon Cooper 360' on February 10. During his show, he announced the birth of Sebastian, stating that he was conceived through surrogacy, as per PEOPLE. "This is Sebastian Luke Maisani-Cooper. He was 6.8 lbs. at birth and he was healthy and happy and even his occasional hiccups, are to me, adorable. He mostly just sleeps and eats and certainly poops, but he already seems like a wise and thoughtful little chap," Cooper said.
The morning after making his announcement, the CNN host posted the first father-son picture of himself and his new newborn boy on Instagram. "Cuddling with Sebastian the day after he was born," Cooper wrote in the caption.
The television bigwig admitted that raising his sons with Maisani was an unusual set-up for him, but he was confident in the businessman's ability to be a great father. “We’re exes, but we’re family to each other, and we love each other as family and as co-parents," he said in an interview with PEOPLE.
Cooper admitted that he and his best friend occasionally got into arguments when the children were present. The ex-couple quarrelled over whether the children should wear overalls to swimming lessons among other everyday things. He, however, claimed that because he and Maisani got along so well, their disagreements were over unimportant and trivial issues. The ex-couple were together from 2015 to 2018.
