Amy Schumer is being slammed virtually as she made a joke about Alec Baldwin's unfortunate shooting incident during his movie 'Rust'. Additionally, the 40-year old also revealed that she had plans to compare the tragedy to that of Will Smith slapping Chris Gate at the Oscars 2022 but was banned by her lawyers from doing anything such.

The Oscars ceremony this year was co-hosted by Schumer, Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes on Sunday, March 27. Schumer shed light on the events that took place when she was performing her comedy act on Saturday, March 26, at the Mirage Theater in Las Vegas as part of the club's Aces of Comedy series.

Alec Baldwin DENIES pulling trigger of gun that killed Halyna Hutchins on 'Rust' set

The 40-year old comedian and actor is now getting bashed online as she carelessly made an insensitive joke about the fatal Alec Baldwin shooting that took place during the shoot of his movie Rust last year. The incident resulted in the death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. Baldwin said he believed the gun was empty and that it went off accidentally.

Speaking more on this, Schumer said, the best way to 'comfort ourselves' after the 'upsetting' moment between Will Smith and Chris Rock is for her to 'say the Oscar jokes' that she had planned, but 'wasn't allowed to say on TV.' Will Smith walked up on stage and slapped Chris Rock because Rock, during his monologue, made a G.I. Jane joke and indicated it towards Jada Smith, thus making a joke about her appearance.

Of this slapgate, Schumer said, "It was really upsetting,' she said of the moment Smith slapped Rock on stage. But I think the best way to comfort ourselves would be for me to say the Oscar jokes that I wasn’t allowed to say on TV." She continued, "I want to preface these Oscar jokes by saying that my lawyer said not to say these. Don’t tell anybody and don’t get mad at me."

Here on, she proceeded with the original script of her monologue. "Don’t Look Up is the name of a movie? More like don’t look down the barrel of Alec Baldwin’s shotgun,' she said, adding, 'I wasn’t allowed to say any of that [at the Oscars], but you can just come up and [slap] someone." During the show, Schumer said, "Don't Look Up is nominated, I guess the Academy members don't look up reviews."

Twitter has been blowing up and here are some reactions. One said, "The real crime at The Oscars is that Amy Schumer didn’t get slapped at all."

This user blatantly said, "Shes just soo unfunny and thats fine. Kirsten Dunst is Americas sweetheart and your just the last minute choice for the oscars. @amyschumer you will never be a real comedian just some oddly shaped woman with no charisma and stolen jokes. Im surprised you made it this far."
