'Little People Big World' star Amy has no problem inviting ex-husband Matt to her wedding with Chris
Amy and Matt Roloff of 'Little People Big World' spent 27 years married to each other until the two divorced in May 2016. Four years down the line, both of them have found love — Amy is engaged to Chris Marek while Matt is dating his Roloff Family Farms manager of many years, Caryn Chandler.
Fortunately, the former couple harbor no ill-feelings towards each other and they both admitted that the other along with their current partners will be invited to their weddings.
In the current season, audiences saw Amy moving away from the farms, the same place she co-owns with Matt and where they together raised their four children — 29-year-old twins Jeremy and Zach, a 26-year-old daughter Molly and 23-year-old son Jacob.
She is now looking forward to a happily married life with her fiance Chris after they got engaged in September last year. In an interview from this past Monday, the soon-to-be-married couple revealed that when they say their "I do's", they don't plan to leave out Amy's ex, Matt and his girlfriend Caryn.
"It's not like they're not going to be invited," said Amy. Her fiance, however, is of the impression that they don't want to be a part of their celebrations. He has no problem with Matt and Caryn attending his wedding that is supposed to be a celebration with close friends and family but doesn't want them to be a part of it "out of obligation".
"I like Matt. I get along with him fine and Caryn. But we’re not friends that hang out. We don’t do things together. They’re welcomed if they’d like to come, but I don’t want them to feel obligated."
Amy too shares the same thoughts as Chris and wouldn't want them to come to the wedding just because they invited them and would like it if they came, willingly. She, however, is not expecting to see them at the wedding "because of what they expressed in the past".
In the trailer for the current season, Matt had mentioned that he would love to marry Caryn someday and he is in it for the long run. On being asked if she will be attending their wedding, Amy mentioned that she wouldn't expect to be invited.
"Just because we had something, we don't have that anymore. You want to start your new relationship with the people that are going to be part of, just like I said, that all the time. If they were to invite us, I would do it out of just support for my kids and wish him all the best in his life together with Caryn," she said.
