'The Good Doctor' Season 5: Release date, spoilers and all about ABC medical drama
It's always good to have a doctor's appointment, especially if it's with the 'The Good Doctor'. ABC'S hit medical drama is making its return with a brand new season and viewers are so ready for it. After four successful seasons, the fans will continue to delve into the life of Dr Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome as he tackles new situations he encounters in his daily life as a surgeon.
The drama which is tense, heartfelt and emotional has a healthy fan following with it being one of the most well-received medical dramas in recent times. Plot
The show follows Dr Shaun Murphy a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, who switches his life from a quiet country to join the renowned St Bonaventure hospital's surgical unit. His only advocate, Dr. Aaron Glassman who introduces him to the job helps him overcome the challenges of being met with skepticism and prejudiced attitude of the hospital's board and staff. Being differently-abled comes with its own personal challenges as Shaun struggles to navigate social situations and connect with his peers. Shaun will need to work harder than ever to prove his worth and earn his place, as he navigates his new environment and relationships to prove to his colleagues that his extraordinary medical gifts will save lives. New medical cases with interpersonal stories woven in make for an interesting watch.

The Good Doctor‘s bittersweet finale marked the departure of Antonia Thomas after four seasons of portraying Dr Claire Browne. It also promised fresh starts for almost all the other characters. On the relationship front, we saw Lea propose to Shaun which the elated doctor gladly said yes to! Coming to another pair, Morgan and Park finally professed their love for each other. With a side of happiness comes a bit of sadness with Andrews revealing that his wife Isabel had left him for another man. Meanwhile fairly new character Mateo makes the decision to return to the States to be with Lim and sees him getting ready to finally face a decades-old warrant for his arrest.

He plays the role of Dr Shaun Murphy.
Hill Harper
Hill Harper is an award-winning actor, bestselling author and philanthropist. Harper has been acting since the age of 7. His first role in television began in 1993, in a recurring role on the Fox series 'Married... with Children', while also making his film debut in the short film 'Confessions of a Dog'. Harper starred in the hit drama 'CSI: NY', HLN's 'How It Really Happened with Hill Harper', and the award-winning series 'Homeland'. Harper will continue his role as Dr Marcus Andrews.
Richard Schiff
American actor and director Richard Schiff have enjoyed a lengthy and acclaimed career in film, television and theater. Raised in New York City, he developed a passion for film and theater at a very early age. He is best known for playing Toby Ziegler on 'The West Wing', a role for which he received an Emmy Award. More recently, he played Don Cheadle's conniving boss in Showtime's House of Lies. He plays the role of Dr Aaron Glassman.

Paige Spara
Paige Spara is an American actress. Before landing any film or television roles, she was a guide for a Gossip Girl bus tour in New York City. Following roles in short films 'Prospect Street' in 2010 and 'What Showers Bring' and 'After the Hurricane' in 2014, Spara's first main role came in 2015 as Audrey Piatigorsky in the ABC Family sitcom 'Kevin from Work'. She plays the role of Lea.
