LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Harrison Ford's on-screen chemistry with Helen Mirren dates back 36 years. The duo has now come together for a 'Yellowstone' franchise show titled ‘1923’. The series is a prequel to 'Yellowstone' where the fans will see the powerhouse actors reunite for the first time after Peter Weir’s 1986 movie ‘The Mosquito Coast’. Ford spoke about his co-actor at the Hollywood Legion Theatre Post 43 series premiere on Friday evening, December 2, 2022. The 80-year-old actor shared that he still respects Mirren, 77, professionalism and work ethic even today. "I admire her work and her person [now], and I have all the same degree of admiration for her as I did then," said Ford to media outlets.

"She's wonderful, she's just a lovely person, and so it's been both a professional pleasure and a personal pleasure working with her again," the 'Indiana Jones' actor added. Mirren considered herself "nobody" in 1986, while, on the other side, Ford had a huge fan following with two 'Indiana Jones' movies under his belt, and also featured in the original 'Star Wars' trilogy. "When we first worked together, he was a huge movie star and I was like nobody. I was very intimidated, very intimidated,” recalled Mirren, who a couple of decades later won the Academy Award for 'The Queen'.

She added, "But I also learned a lot from him because I hadn't done much. I'd done a lot of theater at that point, I hadn't done a lot of movies. So I watched him, and he taught me a great deal about film acting that to this day [that] I'm still using."

The actors play a couple, Jacob and Cara Dutton, who ran their family farm in Montana amid struggles, including a historic drought, pandemic, the Great Depression, and the end of Prohibition in '1923', according to People.

Ford revealed that what got him excited about the series was the "formation of the project". He said, "The writing and the ambition of the piece that's evident from the scope and scale of it, [drew me to the role,] and the precision of his language and dialogue, and the character."

Mirren couldn’t agree more with Ford as she said, "To be a part of something that is so exciting within the American sort of entertainment world, but also to be a part of something that is investigating American history in this particular way [is great]."'

'1923' is set to premiere on December 18, 2022, on Paramount+ and the Paramount Network in a special simulcast event.
