Indiana Jones’ is one of the most iconic movie franchises of all time and whenever a new title is announced, fans get really excited about it. The series began in 1981 with ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ and the last ‘Indy’ movie to hit theatres was ‘Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ which was released in 2008. Since then, a lot of news regarding a fifth movie has been floating around, but no one knew when it was going to come out. Finally, 14 years after the release of the fourth movie, we have received a worthy update that makes us believe that we are really close to getting another and possibly the last ‘Indiana Jones’ movie.

Even though the plot details have been kept under wraps, we don’t mind that we have finally got our first look at Harrison Ford wearing his iconic costume once again. Empire Magazine revealed the cover of its January issue and it’s filled with the initial pictures of Ford’s final portrayal of the iconic character. In one of the images, the legendary actor can be seen wearing the costume and his iconic hat while looking straight at the camera.
On the other hand, another image sees him on a boat or a yacht while going on another adventure and his intense look suggests that things are going to get really messy this time around.

The first look from the new ‘Indiana Jones’ movie has made fans really excited and they are relieved that the polarizing fourth movie won’t mark the disappointing end for such a beloved character. However, fans were quick to notice a little, but important detail in one of the photos that made them really emotional. Fans noticed that Ford’s character is still wearing his wedding ring and everyone was happy to know that he is still married to Marion.

One of the fans noted, “Indy’s wearing his wedding ring. He and Marion are still married. This alone made my day.” Another fan tweeted, “Glad to see Indy is still married to Marion.” Another social media user wrote, “Cautiously optimistic, largely because James Mangold has done some awesome stuff!”

“Damn!!! Looking forward to one more time,” tweeted another fan. “Badass as always,” wrote another user. “Keeping my fingers crossed. Ford seemed pretty enthusiastic about the movie, so I'm willing to put my faith in him,” said another one.

It took George Lucas and others to work on another ‘Indiana Jones’ movie and this will be the first time that the story of the movie is not being written by George Lucas nor it’s being directed by Steven Spielberg.

The first movie, ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, was a huge success and is considered to be one of the finest movies ever made. It received universal acclaim and went on to earn more than $389 million globally on a production budget of just $20 million. Meanwhile, the second and third movies – ‘The Temple of Doom’ and ‘The Last Crusade’ – turned out to be blockbusters as well, receiving positive reviews from almost everywhere.

However, the fourth movie, titled ‘The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’, turned out to be really polarizing. Critics loved the film and gave positive reviews. On the other hand, audiences gave the movie mixed reviews and noted that the storyline and pacing made the movie underwhelming. Even after mixed audience reviews, ‘The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull’ went on to earn more than $790 million at the box office, becoming the franchise's highest-grossing film when not adjusted for inflation.

With the fifth movie in the franchise coming out, fans would be hoping for the character to get the farewell he deserves and go out with a bang.

The film also stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Kretschmann, Antonio Banderas, Toby Jones, and Shaunette Renee Wilson in pivotal roles.
