LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'Pennyworth' has been a blockbuster since it shifted to HBO. Season 3 of 'Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman's Butler' recently concluded and left everyone stunned with fans expecting the bar to be even higher next season. Jack Bannon plays the titular character Alfred Pennyworth, a younger version of the of the character previously portrayed by Sean Pertwee in Heller's and Cannon's Fox series 'Gotham.'

The series serves as a prequel to both 'Gotham,' and 'V for Vendetta' by Alan Moore, David Lloyd and Tony Weare. Speaking of showrunners and creators, Bruno Heller recently revealed the possibilities of showcasing Bruce Wayne in the series and the storyline as the DC universe has "a mix of possibilities." Although the series has already introduced Samantha Wayne, the older future-long-lost sister of Wayne and elder daughter of Thomas and Martha Wayne, this season has proved that she was an interesting character. Furthermore, he also confirmed that viewers could expect the fourth season of the series to be nothing less than "bonkers."

In a recent interview with ComicBook.com, Heller was asked about the possibility of Wayne popping up in a potential fourth season. He was also asked about whether Samantha would become a vigilante, similar to her brother's transition to Batman. Heller confirmed that both ideas were on the table.

Heller reportedly said, "She's great, isn't she? She's really good [referring to Jayda Eyles, who plays Samantha]. Both of those things are in the mix as a possibility when you're creating this kind of storyline, which ends with facts that people already know. You kind of have to keep your options open and always be surprised."

Heller continued, "Always find a way to get your story to where it's supposed to go, but in ways that people weren't expecting and developments that no one saw coming. And I think that's what we promised for this season. I think we delivered on that, and we will continue to deliver in the same way. Just wait and see."

"It definitely is the Prime Minister who's got him, or rather, he was the target and not the entire city of London," Heller said, adding, "There's enough of the city left to rebuild in Season 4. And, as you know, nuclear bombs at least in the comic books lead to all sorts of shenanigans. Strange developments."

Heller said that Season 4 could begin after the blast in Season 3, "It would have to be slightly more bonkers. We've got to keep up that arc. It's leading to a world in which people like Batman and the Joker exist so it was always the intention to kind of keep upping the ante on the craziness of this world as long as it keeps a grounding in real life, which is where Jack Bannon and Alfred come in, because he's such a regular person The world will get stranger and crazier as it goes on," he said.

You can watch 'Pennyworth' Season 3 on HBO Max.
