'America's Got Talent': Ansley Burns secures first wildcard slot for live quarter-finals, IDEGO could be next

We bid adieu to the Judge Cuts last week on America's Got Talent season 14. Out of the 36 spots in the live quarter-finals, only 33 have been filled, leaving the other three for wildcard entries.
Over the course of this season, we have come across a slew of deserving contestants who were sadly eliminated during the auditions and the Judge Cuts. But three lucky acts will get a chance to enter the live-quarter finals as the wildcard entries.
With AGT airing the first round of the live quarter-finals, the series revealed the first 12 acts that will be performing, and in that list is this week's wildcard entry - Ansley Burns.
Burn who sang Aretha Franklin's 'Think' and Carrie Underwood's 'Good Girls' during the audition and Judge Cuts, won the hearts of not just the judges, but fans and viewers of the series with her soulful voice and impeccable range.
Burns, though she received raving reviews from the judges after her Judge Cuts performance, didn't make it through to the live shows, making many fans furious. But now, Burns has secured the first wildcard slot, and while we can't wait to see what she performs during the live quarter-finals we are even more to eager to know who will be the next wildcard entry next week.
While it is being speculated that all the three wildcard entries might be from the Judge Cuts, that's not always the case, as some lucky acts who got eliminated during the auditions too have a high chance of winning a spot in the live-quarter finals, through the mystery of the wildcard entry.
The most recent speculations are that virtual reality act, IDEGO, that scared Howie Mandel and helped him face his fear with VR technology during the auditions, might be the next wildcard entry before next week's live shows.
These speculations arose after the VR act was noticed posting many behind the scenes and rehearsal videos during their AGT audition. Though they didn't make it to the Judge Cuts, their performance was one among the unique ones that we came across this season. To entertain and help someone overcome their fears might be an easy workshop, but to do that via VR and ensure that nothing goes wrong considering the complex technology involved is no easy feat.
And after seeing their performance, fans have filtered down similar acts that performed over the past seasons and didn't make it through to the auditions, but somehow won the wildcard to the live quarter-finals. Those acts include Metal Mulisha Fitz, the motocross act, season 10's Army and many more.
The series has never really addressed the mysterious choosing of the wildcard and why they have only chosen acts with a complicated setup.
Even though IDEGO hasn't dropped too many hints on their social media page, if the series does allow an act from the auditions to come as a wildcard entry, it is most likely to be them.
Because they were exceptionally good at what they do and had everyone's eyes hooked to the stage.
Until the series reveals who their next wildcard act is, we are left in the dark with nothing but speculations. But we can't wait to find out if IDEGO manages to get through as a wildcard entry.
