'American Song Contest': Fans call New Hampshire's MARi's look a mix of 'Elton John and Lady Gaga'

Calling all 'American Song Contest' fans! If you've been keeping up with the show, get set for week 4, featuring artists -- Allen Stone (Washington), Alexis Cunningham (West Virginia), Bri Steves (Pennsylvania), Bronson Varde (Hawaii), Jared Lee (Massachusetts), Las Marias (Arizona), NËITHER (Washington, D.C.), Savannah Keyes (Utah), Stela Cole (Georgia) and The Crystal Method (Nevada)! And kicking off the week is New Hampshire's MARi!

Here's a recap of what went down so far -- During week 1, Hueston from Rhode Island made it to the semi-finals by performing his song, 'Held On Too Long'. Week 2 saw Jordan Smith from Kentucky advance forward with his song, 'Sparrow'. And, week 3 had Tennessee's Tyler Braden make the cut with his song, 'Seventeen'. Along with Braden, Colorado's Ryker Lynch, Alabama's Ni/Co and Texas' Grant Knoche also made it to the semi-finals.

New Hampshire's MARi was all set to kick off week 4 of 'ASC'. She described the state as living art, noting that it was curvy like her. She spoke about how she grew up at her family restaurant. To her, New Hampshire's motto was her motto -- 'Live free of die'. Calling herself 'Latin Lizzo', she was all set to perform her song, 'Fly'.

Fans were quick to take to the upbeat pop song. "You are a warrior Shout out your cry Spread your wings And fly" tweeted a fan. "As someone who was raised on American Idol winners’ singles, I’m fully living for #NewHampshire’s song for tonight. Simon Cowell would be proud." added another. "NH: great positivity to start the show. It’s a bit Disney but still done well. #AmericanSongContest" tweeted a fan. "Mari's giving me Elton John and Lady Gaga vibes on the fashion alone. #AmericanSongContest" added another. "Honestly I love Mari’s style. I’m not big on self empowerment songs but I like her voice a lot, and the melody of the song is pleasant.
