The 'American Song Contest' will feature live original musical performances from all 50 states, five US territories, and our nation's capital, all competing for the finest popular song in the country. From unknown talent to up-and-coming new artists and rising stars to established and famous legends, the 56 artists represent a diverse variety of performances.

Each region will be represented by an exceptional solo artist, duet, group, or band who will sing a new original song that celebrates the depth and variety of diverse styles and genres across America. Snoop Dogg and Kelly Clarkson are going to host the show.

Snoop Dogg

He has ruled as an unrivaled force as a multi-platinum performer, actor, philanthropist, and entertainment icon for almost three decades, lifting the standard as an award-winning entertainer and worldwide known entrepreneur. Snoop Dogg is a legend in the world of entertainment. He has 21 studio albums to his credit, with over 40 million records sold worldwide, many No 1 Billboard chart appearances, and 20 Grammy nominations. He has recently hosted and produced several projects through his Snoopadelic films, including two Peacock originals: '2021 and Done' with Kevin Hart, a hilarious look back at the year that started with so much promise, and 'Olympic Highlights with Kevin Hart and Snoop Dogg,' a recap of the Olympics' most impressive athletic delays and the moments that didn't go as planned.



 

Kelly Clarkson 

Kelly Clarkson is a coach on NBC's 'The Voice', a four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series. In seasons 14, 15, and 17, she won the competition. Clarkson is one of the most popular musicians of this era, with cumulative worldwide sales of more than 25 million albums and 40 million singles. She is an Emmy Award-winning talk show anchor, Grammy Award-winning singer, and America's original idol. She has won numerous honors, including two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host in 2020 and 2021, three Grammy Awards, four American Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, two American Country Awards, and one Country Music Association Award. She is also the first performer to top the pop, adult contemporary, country, and dance charts on Billboard.



 

'American Song Contest' will premiere on Monday, March 21, 2022, at 8/7c on NBC. The eight-week live competition will include 56 contestants competing against each other to win the battle. The artists will participate in a series of Qualifying Rounds, Semi-Finals, and the final Grand Final when one state or territory will emerge triumphant.
