'American Idol' Season 22 viewers call out Katy Perry over her 'negative comment' to McKenna Breinholt
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'American Idol' Season 22 judge Katy Perry recently criticized McKenna Faith Breinholt for her voice. However, the viewers slammed the ABC show judge over her 'negative comment'. During the Hollywood Week, McKenna performed 'When We Were Young' by Adele.
After her performance, McKenna received compliments from Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie. Luke claimed, "That was one of my favorites I’ve seen all year." Meanwhile, Katy admitted to being worried about her voice. The ABC show judge said, "I'm worried about her voice though."
However, the viewers left furious over Katy's comments and slammed the judge in the comment section of McKenna's performance video. A social media user commented, "She was perfect. Katie P made a negative comment about her voice. Why? Competition? Again she sang beautifully and Katie needs to clean her ears out or walk." Another person added, "Katie jealous."
Another internet user penned, "Voice, tone, looks I love this girl man. Katy says she’s worried about her voice better not be another reference to singing loud. Loud does not mean good.." Another critic added, "Get katie off that judging panel." Another internet user penned, "KP wish she hade her pipes." Another viewer said, "I couldn’t believe she said that!!!! Wow. She’s not hearing well tonight or something else is up."

McKenna Faith Breinholt leaves Katy Perry in tears
McKenna Faith Breinholt had an emotional 'American Idol' audition which left Katy Perry in tears. During the audition, McKenna and her birth family had an emotional reunion. The aspiring singer was adopted when she was young. McKenna's mother struggled for several years trying to get pregnant and eventually, they decided to go through the adoption process.
The ABC show contestant's adoptive parents were supportive and when she was 21 she asked about her birth mother. McKenna shared, "They told me her name was Amy Ross Lopez. She was a musician and she had passed away. I just wanted to know where I came from."
Katy asked McKenna if she would like to bring her family in for the verdict as to whether she got a ticket to Hollywood or not. Surprisingly, when McKenna opened the door she saw her both families. McKenna and her family reunion brought Katy to tears.
Katy Perry flirts with 'American Idol' Season 22 contestant's father
'American Idol' judge Katy Perry was recently criticized for flirting with one of the contestant's famous father. During the audition round, 'The Bachelor' star, Juan Pablo Galavis, daughter, Camila, auditioned for the latest season. During the introductions, Katy asked Camila if she came from a "musical family" to which she revealed, "No."
She explained, "My dad is a manager in the social media industry because he was on The Bachelor." Lionel Richie was shocked and Katy curiously asked, "The TV show? On ABC? Who is your dad?" Camila proudly replied, "Juan Pablo Galavis." However, Katy asked, "Did your dad meet someone on the show?"
After Camila explained that her father met someone but they later broke up, Katy questioned, "So he's single?" However, when Juan arrived in the room, Katy asked a similar question to Juan.
