LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kameron Westcott expresses dissatisfaction with the court's ruling permitting Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom to purchase a Montecito house previously owned by her father-in-law, Carl Westcott.

The 'RHOD' star recently turned to her Instagram page to express her thoughts on the court's final verdict in the legal matter.

In her Instagram post, she revealed that her heart broke after the Los Angeles court declared that her father-in-law, Carl Westcott, had no evidence to support his claim of lacking the mental capacity to sell the house in 2020.

She posted a series of pictures featuring herself with her family on her Instagram feed.

Kameron started by writing, "I want to personally thank all of you who have kept Carl and our family in your thoughts and prayers as we awaited the results of the ongoing trial…"

She further added, "Many of you know our inspiring veteran hero & my father-in-law, Carl has been battling Huntington’s disease and became the subject of a legal battle with Katy Perry over the sale of his home in Montecito when he was not in the right mental state."

The Bravo star continued, "Sadly, I wanted to update that the judge ruled in Katy Perry’s favor. While he was unable to fight for himself, we proudly fought for Carl and will continue to fight for the rights of those with Huntington's, Alzheimer’s, and all diseases that impair cognitive function against those who try to take advantage of those battling these heartbreaking life impairments."

The reality TV star went on to say, “While this is a setback, I know the truth and those who fight for good amongst greed will always prevail."

She concluded, "While our hearts break for Carl in his current health condition and now with the results of the trial, let this be a reminder and encouragement to all of us to be the differences and the kindness we need in this world, even when we’re up against obstacles that seem unjust and unethical."

Katy Perry can purchase $15 million Montecito house after lawsuit win

With the court's final verdict favoring the 'Harleys in Hawaii' singer and her actor husband, the couple can proceed to purchase a $15 million home in Montecito, California.

Los Angeles judge Joseph Lipner affirmed that the July 2020 contract between the homeowner, Carl, and Bernie Gudvi, who purchased the property on behalf of the couple, "must be respected."

In his decision, Lipner stated that Westcott "presented no persuasive evidence that he lacked the capacity to enter into a real estate contract."

He added, "Moreover, (Westcott) entered into other contracts shortly before and shortly after the contact at issue here. Westcott has not attempted to rescind any of these other contracts for lack of capacity."

Carl Westcott filed a lawsuit against Katy Perry’s business manager Bernie Gudvi in August 2020

In August 2020, Westcott initiated a lawsuit against Katy's business manager, Bernie Gudvi.

Since then, the judge has bifurcated the case.

It has been reported that Perry is anticipated to testify in the aforementioned countersuit regarding damages at a non-jury trial in the upcoming months.

When did the legal trial begin?

The legal trial of the case kicked off in late September.

In a conversation with People magazine, Westcott's son, Chart Westcott, discussed the court's final verdict, stating, "While we do not agree with Judge Lipner’s ruling and wish he had spelled our father’s name correctly in his ruling, we accept it."

Chart added, "Katy Perry will now have to testify, in person, on damages and the contradictory claims she has made over lost income for the rental of my father’s home. While this has been a long road, the fight for my father is not over, and we will continue to represent him and his legacy of incredible achievements."

Business manager Bernie Gudvi represented Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom in the real estate deal

In the entire real estate deal, Perry and Bloom were represented by her business manager Bernie Gudvi.

The pair bought the 9,285-square-foot mansion for $15 million on July 18, 2020.

At that point in time, they even wrote a letter to Westcott saying, "As you know we are expecting a baby next month and know this will be the best place to bring her home to and raise her in.”

When we talk about the stunning Montecito house, it is a single-story property that consists of a total of 9 bedrooms and 11 bathrooms.
