Noah Thompson advances to 'American Idol' finale, fans say 'America lacks in taste for music'

The Top 3 finalists of 'American Idol' Season 20 have been announced, and the show's fans have some strong feelings about it. Over the course of the season, fans began rooting for some of the contestants as the potential winners such as Nicolina Bozzo, Fritz Hager, etc.

So when both Nicolina and Fritz's elimination was announced from the Top 3 lineup and instead Noah Thompson, Leah Marlene, and HunterGirl were named as the finalists, fans were anything but happy. Fans were especially triggered by Noah's entry into the singing competition's finale. Several fans took to Twitter to express their displeasure with the American voters who cast their votes for Noah and earned him a spot amongst the Top 3.

A fan tweeted, "#americanidol sooo…y’all really voting Noah over nicolina and fritz… America lacks in taste for music.." "If you think Noah is better than either Fritz or Nicolina, you need a new set of ears. #AmericanIdol," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "Really America you think that Hunter & Noah are better than Nicolina? Another Chris Daughtry etc thing happening all over again! Ugh #AmericanIdol." "How the hell Noah in over Fritz or Nicolina?! Middle America and no-talent-knowing country lovers ruining this show. #americanidol," blamed a fan.

Many fans blamed the audiences' obsession with country music for Noah continuing to stay on in the competition. A fan shared, "How many times is “America” suppose to crown the same damn artist, Chase is literally the same damn thing as Noah… like, Variety, wtf #AmericanIdol same vanilla a** winners." "They should call #AmericanIdol “Country Idol.” I’m sorry but Noah should not be in the finale… and yes, I still watch American Idol," commented a fan.
