'American Idol' fans claim Fritz Hager, Noah Thompson made it to Top 7 because of 'little girls'

Disney World might be the happiest place in the world, but 'American Idol' fans were anything but happy with the results from the show's Disney Night special. the Top 10 contestants made their way to Disney World, California, to battle it out for a spot amongst the Top 7. 

Under the mentorship of Derek Hough, the top 10 contestants performed to various popular Disney movie tracks to woo the audience into voting for them. Finally, when the results were announced it was revealed that Emyrson Flora, Lady K, and Mike Parker, failed to amass enough votes from the audience so their journey on the show ended. On the other hand, Fritz Hager, Noah Thompson, and five other contestants were deemed safe as they managed to secure a sizeable chunk of the audience votes. The ABC show's fans were left fuming when they watched the three talented performers leave and blamed 'little girls' for casting their votes for Fritz and Noah because they were 'cute' and thus saving them from elimination.

Several fans took to Twitter to slam the voters for saving Fritz and Noah over Lady K and Emyrson, who they believed were far more talented. A fan tweeted, "Noah over Emerson? What a joke. Teenyboppers all over America voting for Noah. He’s cruise ship karaoke material. #AmericanIdol #EmersonOut #NOAH." "Noah..... in the top 7? These votes are a joke. #americanidol," wrote a fan. Another fan added, "Sorry but fritz doing 3 big notes does not compare him to the other contestants. He literally whispers out the end lyrics every time he sings it's annoying I dont know what hes saying. And i dont get everyone fascination lol #AmericanIdol." "Fritz ruined one of my most favorite Disney songs of all time. Disappoint #americanidol," declared a fan. 

Many fans also questioned the 'hype' around Noah and Fritz amongst the show's audience. A fan shared, "America really loves them some Fritz and Noah... I’m still trying to understand the hype #americanidol." "The only reason Noah and fritz go through is because of the little girls voting because they think they're cute.#AmericanIdol," pointed out a fan. "Emyrson and Lady K were hands down better than both Noah and Fritz all live shows long… but because they’re women, they never stood a chance on this show. YALL BETTER VOTE FOR LEAH, HUNTER, AND NICOLINA. #AmericanIdol," expressed a fan. 

The other five contestants who'll be competing in the Top 7 round alongside Fritz and Noah are Nicolina Bozzo, Christian Guardino, Leah Marlene, HunterGirl, and Jay Copeland.

'American Idol' Season 20 airs Sundays and Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.
