There wasn't a single dry eye in the room after 'American Idol' Season 20 star Christian Guardino took to the stage and gave a soul-stirring performance to 'Imagine'. Though the Long Island native has been pretty consistent with impressing the judges and fans alike with his flawless vocals, his latest performance during the top 20 round cemented him as one of the strongest contenders on the show.

Ahead of his performance, Christian explained what drew him to pick the iconic John Lennon song. He recounted growing up with a steadily degenerating vision until the age of 12. But things changed when he received gene therapy that helped him gain much of his vision back. Christian shared the intense happiness and joy he felt watching his first snow, people smiling, and basically everything around him with a clear vision for the first time. This motivated him to sing 'Imagine'. Christian's flawless vocals paired with his emotional backstory ensured that everybody was bawling their eyes out by the end of his performance.
