The Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard case came to a close on Friday, May 27, when both legal teams presented their closing arguments. Though Heard did not receive sympathy, love, or support online, her lawyer's case is a horse of a different color. Elaine Bredehoft was reportedly spotted crying on the last day of the trial. Netizens expressed nothing but sympathy for her.

On May 28, Saturday, a Twitter user @jamesfromcourt shared how he got a chance to view the case in the courtroom in Virginia, Fairfax. He informed followers of the case that when the trial ended and the jury went home, Bredehoft was seen going to the restroom as she shed a few tears.

Jamesfromcourt also added that viewers of the trial tried to 'make her smile' after she came out of the loo. In the following tweet, he said, "We don’t know why she was crying, but we all noted how it must be hard for her to deal with all of this public attention while defending a client she probably doesn’t like, and who constantly abuses her."

Why was Elaine Bredehoft crying?

Bredehoft has had more than her fair share of difficulties when it came to the defamation trial. As the trial was live-streamed, Amber Heard's attorney was constantly and relentlessly mocked on social media in the form of gifs. All this while, Johnny Depp's attorney Camille Vasquez posed questions and handled situations in a rather smart manner. The trial even reached a point where Bredehoft could not even get a single word out. Moreover, it was reported that when cameras were not rolling, Heard got into fights with her in the courtroom.

Netizens think it is unfortunate for a successful lawyer like Bredehoft to have her reputation tainted in such a way after she simply did her job of representing her client and fighting for her. However, since the internet loathes her client, naturally, it transferred on to her as well. On the other hand, some believe that Bredehoft was only crying because she was relieved the six-week trial came to an end.

One said, "#ElaineBredehoft Don’t cry! We all know how much you’ve been going through with this trial, especially to be verbally abused by #AmberTurd while trying to do your best with the information you have. We don’t fault you, we fault her. Stand up for yourself when this is over!"

Another thought, "Why was EB crying? Was it from relief that the trial is over?#ElaineBredehoft"

This user said, "Elaine, We all can see and appreciate Your hard work! You are a protective and loyal soul, like a mother. You did Your Job (the hardest job in the world to be bold) for the last few weeks! People see everything, please don't cry. We are with You."

This user explained, "You did an amazing job! Plz don't cry, the world knows you were hired to do a job and make a living. We know you're not a bad person. All these memes it's all just in hood fun, this is how young ppl communicate."

"After reading about her crying #ElaineBredehoft i just wish her the best! Just cuz working for a bad client doesn’t mean her being bad! I can’t imagine the stress and possibly the mental and emotional abuse she went thro. I hope she’s not attacked for being AH’s lawyer," said another.
