Warner Bros roasted for wishing Amber Heard on her birthday: 'You are still supporting this abuser?'
Amber Heard has been receiving a lot of hate recently as her legal battles with her ex Johnny Depp continue to get vile and ugly. The 'Aquaman' actress had people gunning for her reputation when evidence was brought up that she had, in fact, lied about being assaulted by Depp. The news went as far as to say that she even possibly had faked her injuries resulting in Depp suing her for $50 million in a defamation lawsuit. Her birthday, on April 22, may have been a sour one considering there are chances the actress may have to serve jail time for falsifying evidence in order to obtain a temporary restraining order against Depp.
You would think that with such accusations against her name, Warner Bros. would plan to replace Heard as Mera in the upcoming James Wan's 'Aquaman' sequel. According to the franchise's official Twitter account, that may not be the case as the account seems to have shut rumors down by wishing the actress a happy birthday with a picture of her in Mera gear.
"Happy Birthday Amber Heard! Here's to a fin-tastic day [blue heart]," tweeted Aquaman Movie [@aquamanmovie]. Of course, the internet didn’t take this very well, with many people calling out WB on Twitter for supporting the actress. The tweet not only received intense backlash but comments towards Heard were really telling about what many thought of her.
"I think you mean Queen of Domestic Abuse," tweeted a user.
It's safe to say that both parties have their share of fans and haters. "Yeah. Happy Birthday, Husband Beater. Hope you enjoy the birthday present of being in jail for pretending to be the victim," wished another user.
"Amber Heard is an abuser," said a user, straight up accusing the woman. "So ur still supporting this abuser," tweeted another user.
There were recordings of Heard daring Depp to 'tell the world' he was a victim of domestic abuse and it seems as though evidence does not lie. Not to mention the world has rather taken a stance on facts rather than feelings. "Ya enjoy it this year. Hopefully your next Birthday your be in jail for Perjury," tweeted another user.
Heard allegedly faked her injuries and it's reported that she obtained the temporary restraining order against Depp when she filed for divorce in May 2016. Reports claim that Heard may have used makeup to paint on bruises that she claimed were from Depp. Heard also said Depp gave her two black eyes, but Heard's stylist says she never saw any injuries. If the actress is found guilty of the crimes and is charged, we would assume that the franchise would take some sort of stance on the issue.
'Aquaman 2' might start filming in early 2021, so if Heard is replaced as Mera, at least they have time to change a lot of thing. As of now, the film is expected to release on December 16, 2022. It is directed by James Wan and stars Jason Momoa. With a franchise that large, they are highly dependent on their fan base for the movie to be a hit and for now it seems as though Heard is definitely not on anyone's good side.
