Amazon Prime's 'Upload', a version of digital heaven that seems ideal, began streaming on May 1. The show's premise leans into a new idea of virtual reality. Fast-forwarding to a couple of years into the future, humanity has found a way to circumvent death.

How often do we wish that we get to see and talk to our loved ones? In 'Upload', the rich and privileged can upload their loved ones into a virtual world, pay for their services and meet them. Their mortal remains are frozen till there's a hope of resurrection. The story chronicles the life of Nathan Brown (Robbie Amell), who is suddenly killed in a road accident. His girlfriend uploads him into a luxury afterlife called Lakeview, where his 'angel' Nora (Andy Allo) is a customer service rep and caters to his every need. Of course, they fall in love, even though such relationships are not allowed for Nora.

Fans have become 'hooked' to the series, and many of them tweeted that they binge-watched the show in a day. One fan wrote, "Watching #upload on #amazonprime and it's like #blackmirror meets #totalrecall," a fan wrote.

Another tweeted,"I see @RobbieAmell attached to a project and I know it'll be awesome. #Upload is no different and actually so much more than I was expecting!!! More than humorous, it has strong emotional edge and an addictive touch of intrigue! I AM HOOKED!!!."

"Just finished the first three episodes of @RobbieAmell's new show #Upload on #AmazonPrime and... I AM ADDICTED!!! A consummate blend of heart and humor with an engaging mystery driving its plot. Brilliant!!! So much more than I was expecting!" another tweeted.

"Starting episode three of @UploadOnPrime. I am sooooo hooked. Do I sacrificed sleep and pay for it at work tomorrow? Or do I pace myself and enjoy a few episodes a night? @RobbieAmell

Other fans appreciated the satirical vision of a not-so-distant future. "I really like the construction of a dystopic satirical future here. The dependence on capricious star-ratings for service is a thing that's already happening today in alarming ways," tweeted another fan.

"Made the mistake of starting watching #Upload on #AmazonPrime at 11 pm - too engaging to stop," wrote a fan.

'Upload' is now streaming on Amazon Prime.
