The rumors first sparked when the actress — known for playing Maddy Perez in HBO's 'Euphoria' — became a hot topic after a list of alumni from John Marshall High School batch of 2008 caught eagle-eyed fans' attention. Screenshots of that list were soon circulated on social media and people estimated her age to be either 29 or 30.

Meanwhile, in most interviews, the actress had allegedly quoted her age to be 25. Born in Los Angeles, California, she was raised by her single mother Rose Mendez, of Mexican descent. A makeup artist, she instilled a passion for beauty in her daughter with fashion magazines lying around the house and Alexa loved to read them. Back in 2019, she spilled more details about her life in an interview with The Love Magazine. As per the feature, she was born in East Hollywood and attended John Marshall High School in Los Feliz.

Soon, a string of memes flooded Twitter with many suggesting she was "immortal". "Alexa Demie attending the duel of Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton (1804)," one read and another said, "Alexa Demie rolling back the stone from Jesus’ tomb on the third day." One Twitter user posted: "Alexa Demie after surviving the sinking of the Titanic." One said: "Alexa Demie after throwing the first brick at Stonewall." Another Twitter user even went on to post: "Alexa Demie helping out Adam and Eve plant vegetable seeds in the garden."

While some thought the jokes were getting old, others found it to be hilarious. "These Alexa Demie age jokes are too funny," one tweet read and another said, "These Alexa Demie jokes are getting a little ageist but f**k they’re so funny." One even said, "Just realized that if I paid attention in history class last year I could have made jokes about Alexa Demie and gotten a hit tweet." Sending a message to her, one posted: "Alexa Demie needs to cash in on this joke before it dies and make a skit about her being immortal or something."

Raised in Atwater Village, she also told The Love Magazine that her hometown has transformed now but it "wasn’t (like that) when I was growing up." She said, "Glendale Boulevard was completely different. There was a Cold Stone there and now it’s a super bougie ice cream spot. I mean, I loved Cold Stone," adding, "I was sad about it when it left. So Atwater is super bougie. But I’m happy for my grandma. Her house is worth a lot of f***ing money. They knock on her door weekly trying to get her to sell."

That brings us to another question: What is her net worth? If a report by 24celebs.com is to be believed, it is estimated at $500,000. However, another outlet named FamousAge claims her net worth is $570,000 and she earns around $35,000 to $100,000 for each episode. 

Only time will tell if the actress — who has also guest-starred on TV shows like 'Ray Donovan', 'Love', 'The OA' and also appeared on 'Waves' alongside Sterling K Brown and released her single 'Girl Like Me' — will address these rumors before more memes start making rounds on social media.
