“As the weeks went by, she got worse and then fell into cardiac arrest. She was able to stop and breathe,” said her sister, Kimberly Ayala. “I knew she could never hug her and that was the worst part. She gave her life for her and loved her as much as we know.”

A GoFundMe page has been set up by Kimberley, where she wrote, "I want to tell you the Heroic story of my sister Aimee Jaqueline Morales Ayala. On November 7, she tested positive for COVID-19 when she was 8 months pregnant with my niece Addison Mariand Morales. After 6 days she fell into the hospital. One night after being in the hospital, they did an emergency c-section to save her beautiful baby girl. We did not know the risks that this c-section with her being infected with COVID-19 and having pneumonia. She DID know, and still accepted."

"After the c-section her lungs became inflamed. As the days went by, she developed anxiety attacks in which she could not breathe. The days passed and she got worse. On Saturday, November 28, she was intubated, fell into a cardio-respiratory arrest and her lung collapsed. She died for 15 minutes. They managed to resuscitate her after those 15 minutes. But she was pronounced brain dead, after 3 days in the hospital they unplugged her against our will," Kimberley added. "She gave her life and her last effort all for her baby who is safe and sound. She was such a beautiful person inside and out. Just as she fought for the lives of babies outside the abortion facilities, although she could not hold her baby in her arms, she shows us the love of a mother for her baby. She gave everything for the life of her baby. She left filled with the love of God. Due to these tragic events we ask your help for the services of my sister that she may rest in peace. May God repay you and fill you with Blessings." Till the writing of this article, $23,208 USD had been raised of the $20,000 goal.
