Amy Slaton's baby was finally introduced to '1000-lb Sisters' audiences on Monday, March 1, episode. Amy got pregnant just four months after having a major gastric bypass surgery after which she was advised to at least wait for two years to conceive a child. Throughout this time, Amy was rushed to the ER on a number of occasions, some visits were complicated to a point where she lost sense of what was happening to her because of slipping into a panic attack.

Amy was never going to have a simple birth, she never expected to have one. She was realistic and optimistic that everything would turn out alright except for a couple of times where negativity would take over her thoughts and she'd end up thinking if her kid would even make it to the world. Her fans too were worried about the baby as much as she was and the recent episode provided all the answers regarding her delivery.

Amy was once again admitted to the hospital because of experiencing excruciating contractions. At the emergency room, she was informed that her cervix had completely closed up and that they scheduled her for an emergency C-Section. Amy was ready for her baby to arrive but also stressed and she woke up on the morning of her surgery with aggravated asthma for which she had to use her nebulizer, something that she wasn't supposed to use a lot during her pregnancy.

At the hospital, right before her surgery, the nurses couldn't detect her baby's heartbeat for some time, her vitals were not looking great either. However, Gage made it into the world. His body temperature was lower than normal, but Amy assured her fans that her baby was going to be fine with some time under the heaters and that he wasn't going to be admitted to the NICU. Amy's sister Tammy couldn't make it to the hospital because of Covid-19 restrictions but she was sure about being Gage's favorite aunt when he grows up.
