Grimes says she and Elon Musk have 'broken up again': Internet says, 'Don't be silly!'

Grimes and Musk's breakup news comes shortly after the arrival of their second child

Canadian musician and Elon Musk's fiancé, Grimes has made the big announcement that she and Elon Musk have broken up for the second time. The news comes shortly after the birth of their second child. The singer, 33, tweeted on Thursday, March 10, “me and E have broken up *again* since the writing of this article, haha, but he’s my best friend and the love of my life, and my life and art are forever dedicated to The Mission now. I think Devin wrote that part of the story rly well. Sique – peace out.”

Last year in December, the couple welcomed their second child together. According to a Vanity Fair, Grimes, whose actual name is Claire Boucher, said of her decision to keep the news hidden at first, “I don’t know what I was thinking. Whatever is going on with family stuff, I just feel like kids need to stay out of it, and X is just out there. I mean, I think E is really seeing him as a protégé and bringing him to everything and stuff. … X is out there. His situation is like that. But, yeah, I don’t know.”

She remarked her relationship with Musk, 50, is ‘the best it's ever been’ while adding, “there’s no real word for it. I would probably refer to him as my boyfriend, but we’re very fluid. We live in separate houses. We’re best friends. We see each other all the time. … We just have our own thing going on, and I don’t expect other people to understand it.”  Grimes further mentioned that the couple has always wanted at least three or four kids. In 2018, the songwriter and the Tesla CEO sparked relationship speculations for the first time. They welcomed their son, X AE A-XII, two years later. Exa Dark Siderl Musk, their daughter whom they refer to as Y, was born to them via surrogate in December 2021.

The news has resulted in Grimes being bombarded with questions on social media. A Twitter user asked, "I don't quite understand. If you both love each other, why are you still breaking up over and over?" "Two people can love each other very much, but for many reasons, like personal goals or relationship goals, for example, they might not be a good fit for each other. Unfortunately, so many people are blind to those differences and push forward until something breaks." another user remarked. Yet another person added, "lol, broken up? don't be silly! Elon loves you very much & have two beautiful babies with you. You're a wonderful human & part of your mission is to stay whole for your children. Hang out w Mommy Maye Musk mor or maybe read her book hehe" 

Musk had previously addressed the couple's choice to change their relationship. According to Page Six, in September 2021, he claimed, “we are semi-separate but still love each other, see each other frequently, and are on great terms. It’s mostly that my work at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling overseas and her work is primarily in LA. She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the adjacent room.” Meanwhile, Musk also has 17-year-old twins Xavier and Griffin, as well as 15-year-old triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian, with ex-wife Justine Wilson.
