Adele was supposed to return to the stage with multiple concerts of ‘Weekends With Adele’ at Ceaser's Palace in Las Vegas this month but she had to cancel it all at the last minute. The Academy Award-winning crooner cried in a video she shared on Twitter apologizing to her fans for dropping the show due to several of her crew members testing positive for Covid-19.

However, a few sources have spilled the beans that it was the singer’s apparent diva attitude and weird demands that led to the cancellation of the shows. Adele had canceled her Las Vegas residency 24 hours prior to the first show despite the tickets getting sold out. Fans had reportedly shelled out between $85 and $680 for Adele’s highly-anticipated show. The tickets apparently were resold for as much as $30,000. To make it up for her cancellation, Adele pulled up another stunt by face-timing a few of her loyal fans and promised them personal meets and greets once she eventually returns to the residency.

Is Adele a diva?

There might be more to the picture than it looks. According to the Daily Mail, sources in Las Vegas said that Adele’s team was a “total nightmare” during the preparations for her three-month residency. And, apparently, things got sour between the ‘Hello’ hitmaker and her management team. She apparently insisted on making a lot of changes to the venue including the sound and the video system.

The publication reported that a Vegas journalist Scott Roeben, who first broke the story, stated, “Apparently, Adele and her team refused to use the house equipment in The Colosseum. The theatre has a massive video screen, very high tech, but Adele's team insisted upon an entirely new system – a larger screen, essentially built a few inches in front of the existing screen.” He continued, “Such demands not only drive up production costs but, at a time when supplies are disrupted, it's a recipe for disaster – in this case last-minute delays or cancellations. 'I also hear from a source that Caesars had to replace the cutting edge Meyer sound system and replace it with a different system for her.” The journalist concluded, “It's being shared from those familiar with the situation that Caesars Palace was '100 percent ready for her.  Unfortunately, it sounds like one of those factors is a diva.”

Will Adele reschedule her Las Vegas residency?

Adele has not confirmed whether she will reschedule her residency shows or not but it is being rumored that Adele and her crew are discussing the possibilities. Adele, who has previously canceled live shows, might not return before 2023. It is also being rumored that despite the tickets selling out, the crooner might not return at all.

Adele, while canceling her show 24-hour prior to hitting the stage stated, “My show ain't ready. We've tried absolutely everything that we can to put it together in time and for it to be good enough for you," A teary-eyed Adele added that it was "impossible to finish the show." Her first show was supposed to be held on January 21 and the last one was scheduled for April 16.
