Adam Sandler vs Will Ferrell in sports films: Fans say one has 'all the classics' while the other nails 'comedy'
Picking a side when you equally adore two actors is very difficult, isn’t it? But what do you do when post sparks a debate and you have no choice but to support the one you believe in the most. Twitter’s latest trending topic calls for a tug-of-war between two famous, talented and legendary actors of Hollywood: Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell.
It all started with a Twitter post by ESPN, where the network shared a photo featuring both Sandler and Ferrell in their respective sports-themed movies. What began as a fun conversation and simple argument turned into a big debate and supporting comments for each of the celebrities fanned the fire further and now it is the hottest topic on Twitter.
The post listed movies like ‘Happy Gilmore’, ‘Waterboy’, ‘Uncut Gems’, and ‘The Longest Yard’ for Sandler and ‘Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby’, ‘Kicking & Screaming’, ‘Blades of Glory’, ‘Semi-Pro’ for Ferrell.
An ardent fan of Adam Sandler says, “Adam sandler is the greatest actor of all time and I will stand by that until my hair falls out”.
Another fan said, "Oooooooooooooo. Maaaan Will Ferrell is the GOAT but Sports Movie?.... this is completely one sided for Adam Sandler. He gave us CLASSICS!"
Talking about how Sandler also directs his own movies, one fan comments, “My favorites by Adam Sandler are the water boy and happy Gilmore lol. And Adam Sandler helps direct he’s movies and will ferrel doesn’t so gotta give him more credit for that to lol. (sic)"
Supporting other fans and rooting for team Sandler, one fan slammed Ferrell. “Agree, Will Farkel Stinks big turd stench in everything he does, Talledega Nights a movie about same sex couples not racing or sports. Completely mistitled and offensive to gay people. Adam Sandler on the other hand, muy mas macho. Qien es was macho? Adam Sandler o Loyd Bridges,” he says.
A Ferrell fan, on the other side of the debate, argued with her picks of movies by her favorite actor. “Talladega Nights & Blades of Glory are funnier 🤷🏾♂️ Adam Sandler is not funny... at all #WillFerrell”, she said.
“Y’all think that Adam Sandler is funnier than Will Ferrell... Neutral face the same man who gave us Eight Crazy Nights which featured cartoon deers eating shit Yeah I’m logging off y’all be safe”, adds another.
"Will Ferrell got better comedy movies then Adam Sandler.... I said what I said," said a Ferrell fan.
Looks like the original post offended a Sandler fan. “Do NOT disrespect Adam Sandler like this ever again.....,” warned the fan.
