After a short hiatus, 'The Late Show With Stephen Colbert' returned with a new episode on Tuesday, August 11, 2020 with New York City as Colbert's backdrop as the host produced the talk show from a new office made to look like his set. After Colbert had an intense conversation with Jonathan LaPook, MD, speaking about concerns such as re-opening school amid the pandemic, the ending of the show was something many fans were waiting for. Grammy Award-winning band Maroon 5 performed their new single titled 'Nobody's Love' as part of the #playathome performances on the late-night talk show. Although many fans enjoyed the performance, most were unable to recognize lead singer and forever "hottie" Adam Levine as he sported a bald head and thick beard. Levine usually keeps a short beard, and fans found the look hilarious, with some saying that he was only recognizable because of his voice.

"I didn't recognize him at first, the beard. Until he sang!," tweeted one fan with another adding, "How is that Adam Levine?! #LSSC."

Some teased the singer with some interesting suggestions on changing his style for fans. Others wondered why he would hide his face. "@adamlevine Please grow hair on your head....not your face. Your face  is much too brilliant to cover up," wrote one fan of the singer. Others questioned the singer's bald head, with one writing, "So did Adam Levine just take all the hair that was onto of his head and put it on his face? He looks like he spent a year in the mountains." Either way, the band's performance didn't skip an odd beat and was utterly flawless even as they weren't playing in the same vicinity. "'Maroon 5' never disappoints---Loved it!" wrote one fan. Even a new fan wrote, "Watched your show for the first time. Awesome. Enjoyed Maroon 5. Beautiful how you keep the spirit of music alive during this pandemic. Great show."

Many of the band's fans took to Twitter to thank the band for their performance, which features all band members playing their part in their own homes. It was a refreshing and sweet music session during hard times. "Great performance @maroon5 Also luved the visual part  #lssc #ColbertLateShow," wrote another fan. Many enjoyed the band's new release, with the sweet lyrics delivered flawlessly by lead singer Adam Levine. You can watch the band's performance on the Colbert Show here. While the performance was really good and definitely a chiller ending after such harrowing topics of consideration, we guarantee you, you'll be starting at Levine's new look more than listening to him sing.
