Gary Busey, 78, faces SEX CRIMES and harassment charges after being booted from Monster Mania
CHERRY HILL, NEW JERSEY: Gary Busey is facing multiple charges including sexual misconduct and harassment resulting from his behavior at a fan convention in New Jersey, police said on Saturday, August 20. According to police, the accusations are stemming from incidents at the annual Monster Mania convention, which took place at the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill from August 12 to 14.
In a statement, police in Cherry Hill, a suburb of Philadelphia in New Jersey, said they had charged 78-year-old Busey with two counts of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact, one count of attempted criminal sexual contact, and two counts of harassment. The 'Predator 2' star who resides in Malibu, California, was slated to attend the event for all three days as a featured guest.

Cherry Hill, NJ –A California man is facing sexual offense charges stemming from incidents occurring at the annual Monster Mania Convention hosted by the Doubletree Hotel in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Cherry Hill Township police lieutenant Robert Scheunemann stated, "It was about contact – it was about touching." The police reported that there had been "multiple complaints" about Busey's behavior. Speaking to Inquirer, a representative from the county prosecutor's office in the area declined to comment on the allegations, saying, "We're not commenting."
According to a statement made on Saturday by a Haddonfield lawyer hired by Monster-Mania LLC, Busey "was removed from the convention and instructed not to return" after fans complained about his behavior. According to the lawyer Nikitas Moustaka, the promoter also advised attendees to call the police, Philadelphia Inquirer reported. The semiannual celebration of horror films gives viewers a chance to interact with actors.
Meanwhile, fans posted photos with Busey on social media. One captioned the post saying, "I also got to meet @thegarybusey. He gave me compliments and made me blush. Nice guy!"

Busey's acting career
Busey is best known for his portrayal of the late musician Buddy Holly in the 1978 movie The Buddy Holly Story, for which he was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor. He has appeared in more than 100 films, such as 'Point Break', 'Under Siege', 'The Firm', 'Predator 2', and 'Slap Shot 2'. Busey has a long history in reality television, having appeared on programs like The Apprentice with Donald Trump in 2011 and Celebrity Rehab with Dr Drew in 2008.
Busey's previous charges
The actor was detained on drug charges in 1995 after taking a nearly fatal cocaine overdose at his Malibu residence. Additionally, he has been detained twice on spousal abuse allegations. He filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in 2012, claiming liabilities between $500,000 and $1 million. Busey was accused of groping a female employee on Trump's show, according to The Daily Beast. The claims were rejected by Busey's manager.
