After years of suffering at the hands of the legal system, a wrongfully convicted Aaron Wallace (Nicholas Pinnock) has come close to attaining freedom by fighting a case against Glen Maskins (Brosi McGiver) through the legal representation of one of his fellow inmates.

In the previous episode of ABC’s legal drama series ‘For Life’, Aaron enlists the newly transferred and power greedy inmate Cassius Dawkins (50 Cent)  to obtain resources that could help him establish communication with the outside world to collect evidence to expose the inner workings of the District Attorney office.

The official synopsis for Episode 9 ‘Buried’ states, “Aaron pushes to represent longtime inmate Easley Barton, hoping that winning this 23-year-old case against Maskins will strengthen his own. Captain Foster continues his drug-smuggling racket as Safiya closes in. Marie struggles with her breakup with Darius as she continues to help Aaron in his case.”

For a long time now, the DA officials have tried burying every strand of evidence against their wrongdoings to safeguard themselves from the legal battle that Aaron is trying to fight against them. However, one of the cases concerning his fellow prisoners’ son could serve as his ticket to freedom. But, going by the official trailer for ‘Buried’, Senator Henry, who was standing by Aaron all along, seems to be highly apprehensive about his stance only moments before his appearance at the court.  Could his hesitation be influenced by yet another move of Maskins?

The upcoming episode also sees Aaron and Maskins coming face to face and it is a moment we have waited to witness from the very beginning.

Meanwhile, Marie Wallace (Joy Bryant) struggles to cope with her recent breakup with Darius, after the latter chose to walk out after realizing her feelings for Aaron. Although Marie was always committed to Darius Johnson (Brandon J Dirden)  she couldn’t see herself without Aaron in her life.

The forthcoming court hearing is extremely important for Aaron both on the professional and personal end. While the win against Maskins promises him freedom, it also gives him a chance to mend his relationship with Marie.

But, will Aaron be able to withstand Maskins’s villainous strike this time?

‘For Life’ airs on Tuesdays on ABC.
