With almost all of A.C.E enlisting for their mandatory military services, fans had hoped to get over the drought by watching their old content, music videos, and reality shows. While WOW and Donghun enlisted in September 2021, leader Jun joined the military in February. We then had Byeongkwan become the fourth member to enlist on April 11 in KATUSA. However, just hours before, fans were alerted that the K-pop group’s YouTube channel had been hacked.

On April 10, fans noticed that a live-stream video regarding Elon Musk and cryptocurrency was uploaded on A.C.E’s official YouTube channel. Many of their music videos and other content on the channel was deleted. Finally, the K-pop group’s label, BEAT Interactive shared a statement that they had indeed been hacked. They explained that their own official YouTube channel had also been hacked and both accounts’ password recovery tools had been changed.

At the moment, we have made inquiries to YouTube and Google regarding this hacking issue.” At the moment A.C.E’s YouTube channel states that it has been deleted for violating guidelines. Beat apologized to worrying fans and hoped to get an update soon. Back in January, A.C.E’s Twitter account had been accidentally suspended which had frustrated fans.

‘Who thought it was okay to hack’

Choices (A.C.E’s fandom) have taken to sending supportive messages and hope that they will be able to regain the YouTube channel. One fan tweeted, “The fact that i have no more a.c.e yt content to comfort myself is making so much more emotional im gonna throw up.” Another Choice was surprised, “How... did a.c.e manage... to get their twt acc suspended... and then their yt acc hacked and terminated... all within 2 months.” One angry fan said, “You really have to be a completely HORRIBLE person to hack ACE's YouTube account, they are wonderful guys who work very hard to fulfill their dreams since they come from a small company, return the account to my children, they don't deserve this :(.”
