It is safe to say that the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic hasn't been kind to our bodies. Thanks to sitting at home all day, we have all slipped up on our workout schedule, while continuing to eat rich, delicious food. Instagram influencers and several detox tea, and weight-loss shot companies have been capitalizing on the issue, and advertising their products left, right, and center on social media platforms.

Earlier, we saw Instagram influencers putting up a before and after weight-loss collage while thanking some weight-loss beverage for helping them achieve their enviable figure. But these days, it's not just Instagram influencers who are busy peddling these weight-loss drinks to us, but even reality stars seem to have joined the bandwagon.

'90 Day Fiance' star Danielle Jbali recently took to her Instagram to promote one of the weight loss shots brands. She posted a collage of herself holding the drink's outer carton while raving about how it helped her reach her weight-loss goals. She captioned the picture, "#ad These @boombod shots made sure I stayed on track with my goals. Cravings are down and I’ll definitely be doing this again ❤️ They fit so well with my routine I suggest checking them out too - their website has BOGO free on right now, so grab a box and get started with those summer goals 💪."

When some fans noticed her post, they began slamming her for promoting such an unhealthy weight-loss method. A fan commented, "This stuff is a scam. I lost weight cutting out soda, juice, counting calories and walking." Another fan wrote, "You look the same. The only difference is that white top is small and black top is little bit larger. No shortcuts to losing weight. Just simply observe diet and exercise regularly." Several fans pointed out that they couldn't find any difference in the pictures she posted. A fan expressed, "How much weight did u lose Bc the more I look at these pics the more I don’t see a difference at all. Still luv ya doll. But I don’t think this crap is working for ya babe. 🤦‍♀️🤭💯."

Another fan shared, "All these reality stars are getting paid to make these posts. I doubt any of them actually use the product on a regular basis." "She knows its not doing any good for her , She does it because they pay her to put the product out there," echoed a fan. "I was wondering where your Boombod ad was on Wednesday when everyone else’s Boombod ads were posted. I would’ve preferred a video instead, but a pic will do," wrote a fan. "You been advertising this crap for two years and look the same just STOP IT!!!!!!," commented an annoyed fan.

In 2019, Instagram announced a new policy that would block, and sometimes remove, content promoting weight-loss or cosmetic procedures to its younger users. Instagram users known to be under 18 are restricted from viewing certain weight-loss products or cosmetic procedures.
