'59th ACM Awards 2024': Internet dubs Avril Lavigne and Nate Smith 'perfect pair' following 'Bulletproof' act
FRISCO, TEXAS: On May 16, Nate Smith took the 'ACM Awards 2024' stage with his most recent song, 'Bulletproof', and invited Avril Lavigne to accompany him for the live premiere of their remix. However, fans were quick to notice the chemistry between the talented singers and had already started to ship the duo with one another.
Nate Smith sang solo as the show began on a stage that had been altered to resemble a neon-lit club. Before they sang the rest of the song together and grinned as they embraced at the conclusion, Avril joined him to sing the second verse on her own.

Before the awards ceremony, the two musicians collaborated to create a new duet version of the song, which first debuted on Nate Smith's 'Through the Smoke' EP. At the event, which took place at the Ford Center in Frisco, Texas, Smith wore all black with a leather jacket, while Avril, donned a ripped black hoodie and ripped black flare pants.
Seeing the duo perform, viewers took to X to write, "OMG!! This is amazing!" While another user gushed, "find someone who looks at you the same way nate smith looks at avril."
