'1000-Lb Sisters': Amy's mother refuses to walk her down the aisle and even skips the wedding, fans upset
Amy and Tammy Slaton have always had their ups and downs with their mother, Darlene Slaton. However, the episode on January 29 left fans upset when Darlene decided to skip Amy's wedding. Amy decided to renew her vows with her husband Michael before the surgery as she wanted to have a big wedding once again.
Amy was excited to walk down the aisle and decided to talk to her mother about it. She invited Darlene and her stepfather Frank to her house. At first, Darlene was negative about their weight loss and said that they had not been working as hard as they should have.
At the same time, Darlene was not too keen on being involved in Amy's wedding. Amy had asked her mother to walk her down the aisle but she refused. Darlene told Amy to ask Frank or her cousin brother to walk her down the aisle instead.
Amy was not happy to hear this and instead asked her if she would be willing to go dress shopping with her. Unfortunately, she refused to do that too. Amy was left upset but decided to still focus on her wedding as it was a big day for her.
To make things better, Amy and Tammy decided to have a bachelorette party. They were accompanied by Michael's sister Angela and the three of them visited a wine tasting place. Afterward, Tammy made sure that Amy had a gala time as she invited a stripper to come to their place.
While Amy was happy to enjoy her bachelorette, on the day of her wedding she was left upset as she found out that her mother would not attend the wedding. An upset Amy said that she felt hurt because her mother had attended the wedding of other cousins.
Even fans were left upset looking at Darlene's behavior. "I can’t believe the mama didn’t show up to Amy wedding. I feel so bad her," wrote one fan. Another added, "This wedding is sad and beautiful at the same time. I can’t believe the mom didn’t show up."
Another echoed similar thoughts and wrote, "How dare her damn momma not come to her own daughter wedding! Sick!!" While fans and Amy were upset over this, Amy still decided to put everything aside and enjoy her big day.
