'1000-lb Best Friends': Tina addresses her fear of getting weight loss surgery
For the cast of '1000-lb Best Friends', their journey to get healthy is certainly a joint effort. Each of the women has the others' back while supporting and encouraging one another every step of the way. It allows them to be accountable and make the right choices while having the right support system if they stumble along the way.
While Vannessa and Meghan are back on their weight loss journey, Ashely required a bit of convincing before she could see Dr Procter again. However, the one lagging behind seems to be Tina. She has always been dead against the idea of surgery and sees it as her last resort.
'1000-lb Best Friends': Jacob's weight gain is a huge wake up call for Vannessa Cross
While Tina and Meghan spent time together with Tina's kids, she admitted that her health was getting worse. Meghan bought up the topic of surgery yet again, but Tina was having none of it. She made it clear that she is deeply afraid that something will go wrong. She noted that she was stuck between a rock and a hard place, seeing that she felt surgery came with risks, but not losing the weight was just as dangerous.
Fans hoped that she takes her health more seriously. "Even if Tina doesn’t want surgery, Dr. P can be a stepping stone to her learning how to lose the weight without surgery. #1000lbBestFriends" tweeted a fan. "Tina girl get that surgery and start living yo life!!! No need to be afraid of everything #1000lbBestFriends" added another. "Tina focuses too much on the cons and potentially bad things instead of the good things, i understand that mindset but sometimes you gotta take the risk #1000lbBestFriends" noted a fan. "Tina really needs to talk to someone about her past trauma. There’s something in her background that has scarred her deeply #1000lbBestFriends" said a fan.

Others, however, understood her apprehension when it came to surgery and supported her choice, while encouraging her to drop the pounds the old-fashioned way.
"Tina shouldn't be pressured to have the surgery. She can lose it on her own but she needs to stick to the diet and stay focused #1000lbBestFriends," added a fan. "#1000lbBestFriends I’m with Tina, surgery would be my last option, if u eat right and exercises you can do it" tweeted a fan. "Everybody needs to stop pressuring Tina to have the surgery! Let her put in the effort to lose the weight! #1000lbBestFriends," noted another.
