'1000-lb Best Friends': Fans slam Vannessa for lashing out at Meghan over weight loss

For best friends Vannessa and Meghan, their struggle with weight has been an ongoing battle. Ever since their first appearance on TLC's 'Too Large', they have certainly come a long way -- at least Meghan has. While she managed to get gastric sleeve surgery, Vannessa is still struggling to mend her relationship with food.

Seeing that Meghan still has to keep up with the progress of the surgery, it is key for her to keep exercising. While she motivates Vannessa to join her, it is certainly easier said than done.

Growing up poor, Vannessa had a tough life and often sought comfort in food. After having her two sons, a former ex named Damien came back into her life and filled the role of a father figure for the boys. However, his death caused Vannessa to go into depression and made her depend on food, driving her current condition. To top it off, she recently lost her father and has struggled to process this. While she wants to lose weight, she can't bring herself to stop eating junk food. While Meghan tried to motivate her to work out, Vannessa was quickly angered at her inability to do the workout and lashed out at Meghan. Fans were upset at her behavior.

"Ok now I feel bad for Vanessa. I lost my Dad last year and I'm just on week 3 of grief counseling. So I understand her thought process. I hope she get help because it's helping me. #1000lbbestfriends" tweeted a fan. "Vanessa grieving and she's angry at herself and kinda jealous of her friend. I hope therapy happens soon to help her work thru this #1000lbBestFriends" added another.

"Vanessa is obviously hurting but damn is she ever being a shitty friends out right saying she wishes Meghan had failed at her own weight loss #1000lbBestFriends" said another. "At least Vanessa is admitting she wanted Meghan to fail and is jealous. Honesty is always best. #1000lbBestFriends" wrote a fan. 

Some fans argued that Vannessa owed Meghan an apology. "Vanessa didn't have to yell at her best friend Meghan like that. Meghan was only trying to help her!! #1000lbBestFriends" tweeted a fan. "Vanessa she did the work to get the surgery. She isn't done and will continue to face the same struggles as you. Additionally everyone journey is different and you have to start somewhere to make the appropriate changes. #1000lbBestFriends" added another. "She wishes Megan didn't make it look so easy just get up and do what needs to be done Vanessa #1000lbbestfriends" noted a fan. "Vanessa you should apologize for saying you wish Meaghan did so well with her weight loss. She DID the work to get where she is. You only have your to blame. Stop being ugly to your amazing friend whose trying to help, and support you. #1000lbBestFriends" said a fan.
