In 'The Girls on the Bus' Episode 9, Bruce Turner (Griffin Dunne) delivers an inspiring speech to The Sentinel’s journalists before the Democratic National Convention. However, he collapses suddenly in his office and dies.

Bruce was about to meet Sadie and then a man named Declan Morales to uncover the truth behind why he sent Sadie the burner phone and who instructed him to do so.

Later on, Sadie decides to meet with Declan to uncover the truth. Declan discloses to Sadie that a man named Dick Braun anonymously funded Felicity Walker's (Hettienne Park) PAC.

Despite being one of Felicity’s top donors in the previous election, she severed ties with Dick and refunded his donations after he was embroiled in a scandal.

Dick wants to take revenge against Felicity. However, Sadie suspects that Dick may have been working with another candidate to execute his plan successfully.

Sadie discovers that someone paid Dick to tarnish Felicity's reputation, and the culprit is a man running for president. Malcolm (Brandon Scott) visits Sadie in her room to offer comfort after Bruce's death and extends his help.

Together, they work to uncover the identity of the man who assisted Dick in his scheme. Initially, they suspect Biff de la Peña (Mark Consuelos), another presidential candidate.

However, a news article by Grace Gordon Greene (Carla Gugino) reveals that he has withdrawn from the presidential race. This leaves Sadie realizing that Hayden is the only remaining viable suspect.

Meanwhile, Kimberlyn Kendrick's (Christina Elmore) boss at Liberty Direct News offers her a show of her own, 'The Spin with Kimberlyn.' Despite Kimberlyn's desire to resign from Liberty Direct News, she decides to accept the job.

In 'The Girls on the Bus' Episode 10, Sadie may finally write an article on Hayden to expose his role in tarnishing Felicity's reputation alongside Dick.

This article could potentially have far-reaching consequences, not only for Hayden but also for the broader political landscape. If voters discover Hayden's true nature, his position as a presidential candidate could be at risk, potentially eroding trust among voters. He may also feel compelled to withdraw from the presidential race.

This turn of events could work in Felicity's favor, potentially leading to her victory in the election. Felicity may garner sympathy and support from the public and journalists.

In Episode 6, it was revealed that Felicity was the leading contender in the South Carolina primary. During the Las Vegas campaign, Felicity also became the talk of the town after shutting down a misogynistic man with her reply.

Her strong standing in the South Carolina primary, coupled with her favorable policies and public perception, suggests that she could win the election in Episode 10.

In the last episode, Felicity could also reconcile with Sadie, as her article on Hayden may clear her name of the scandal.

'The Girls on the Bus' Episodes 1-9 are now streaming on Max.
