PROVIDENCIALES, TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS: The Netflix dating reality series, ‘Too Hot To Handle’, tests singletons’ control over their urges by setting a no touching, no kissing, no heavy petting, and no sexual intercourse rule. Those who do not adhere to the regulations set by the series’ virtual assistant and matron, Lana, will risk having a whopping cash pot go down in its amount.

But the rules and the threat of a potential return home did not stop some contestants from messing around. Especially couples Sebastian “Seb” Melrose and Kayla Richart and Jawahir “Jawa” Khalifa and Nick Kici. The two couples seemed to cause many breaches in Lana’s rules and resulted in the prize money being deducted to less than half of what it originally was! While Seb and Kayla’s constant activities bore the group a price tag that could be the deposit to a house, Nick and Jawa’s under-the-blanket adventures and passionate kiss cost $38K. Their sensual endeavors resulted in Lana punishing the duo with a trip to “the suite” and later threatening with a return ticket home. But Lana’s threat seemed to have angered a few fans. During Season 4, the two couples who absolutely could not resist one another were Seb and Kayla and Jawa and Nick. After breaking enough rules, Seb and Kayla were sent to the suite as punishment, but the duo was mindful not to engage in any rule-breaking activities and emerged victorious. But the triumph did not last long, as soon after, when Kayla wanted to prove to Flavia Urbina that Seb was her man, the pair ended up doing “the deed.” And as per house rules, that’s the biggest rule break, so naturally, they were fined a hefty $50,000.

But after Seb and Kayla’s irresponsible rule break, Jawa was inspired to break a few rules herself. While it was unclear what she and Nick did under blankets, the two also openly kissed and caused Lana to threaten them with a return ticket home. Everyone else received a “connection watch,” but Jawa and Nick got only pillows and were tested in the suite. Were they to fail, they would be sent home. The drastic action by Lana definitely caused a few fans to wonder why Jawa and Nick received different treatment. On Twitter, a viewer wrote, “why is Jawahir and Nick getting more heat from Lana than Kayla and Seb????!!!!” Another noted, “Lol so wait o seb and Kayla had s*x but nick and jahawir kissed a couple of times and they are out through this ridiculous test .. wow.”

A furious fan penned, “let me get this straight Kayla & Seb have s*x and they still get watches but Nick & Jawa only kiss and they get a cushion?? the audacity of this show.” And a social media user exclaimed, “Lana?? you weren’t saying it was seb’s and Kayla’s last chance at the retreat when they quite literally had S*X in the shower bffr!” One was very annoyed and said, “Lana is wrong for giving Kayla and seb watches and not Jawa and Nick very annoying.” Another one pointed out that Lana should have chosen Brittan Byrd and James Pendergrass as finalists over Kayla and Seb and wrote, “Kayla and Seb being finalist i.e. the ones who cost the most money and not JAMES AND BRITTAN especially for not breaking ANY rules makes no f*****g sense.”
