Zayn Malik has turned into a firm believer in starting out with a clean slate, after he recently wiped his entire Instagram feed in a sort-of cleanse after his break up with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid last month. And now, it looks like his body art is the next phase of his cleansing routine, as per reports.

The 'Pillow Talk' singer is apparently planning to erase the pair of eyes inked on his chest, a tattoo which depicts the 22-year-old model ex’s eyes, in a move to be done with the past for good.

An inside source told OK magazine: "Zayn was openly talking about it during a recent work commitment, he was mentioning his tattoos and said he needed to get his Gigi stuff covered up. He has been looking at different designs to see if something could work. If it looks good, he will go for it - he just wants to move on with his life.”

Announcing their break-up in March, Zayn wrote: “Gigi and I had an incredibly meaningful, loving and fun relationship and I have a huge amount of respect and adoration for Gigi as a woman and a friend. She has such an incredible soul.

"I'm grateful to all of our fans for respecting this difficult decision and our privacy at this time, we wish this news could have come from us first. We love you all. xZ.”

The pair still seem to be amicable despite the break-up with Gigi also posting: "I’m forever grateful for the love, time, and life lessons that Z and I shared."
