Apart from great pitching skills, Houston Astros pitcher Zack Greinke is also known for his "picture perfect" love story. Grienke is married to his childhood sweetheart Emily Kuchar for nine years now and their relationship seems to be growing stronger with each passing day. Grienke met Kuchar, while they were attending Apopka High School and got married in November 2009 and now they are parents to two beautiful baby boys.

Who is Emily Kuchar?

Born on November 11, 1984, to Bonnie and Walter Kuchar, Emily Kuchar hails from Florida. She and her brother, Nick Kuchar, are both alumni of Apopka High School in Orange County, Florida, where she also met Grienke. Kuchar, a dancer since the age of four, participated in the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders nationwide auditions.

At the age of 18, she made the cut and joined the NFL team as a cheerleader for two years. After the end of her cheerleading career, she made a splash in the pageant circuit. She was a student majoring in communications at the University of Central Florida when she was crowned Miss Daytona Beach USA 2009. She later went on to compete in Miss Florida USA 2009 where she was named Miss Photogenic.

She switched to a different career path in the fashion industry and turned into a fashion stylist. She set up her own business Styled by Em. Her love for fashion stems from her days as a dancer and dressing up for performances. Also, it runs in her blood, given that her grandmother studied fashion design in Chicago.

In November 2009, Grienke and Kuchar got married. Grienke has always praised Kuchar for her support, in a 2010 interview, Grienke credited Kuchar for helping him cope with his social anxiety and depression. "Just her always being there. You look in her eyes, and it just makes you feel good," he said at that time. In 2015, the couple welcomed their first child, Bode Nicholas and in 2017, they were blessed with another baby boy, whom they named Griffin.

On Griffin's second birthday, Kuchar even shared a beautiful picture on Instagram with the two kids and wrote, "HAPPY 2nd BIRTHDAY GRIFFIN! Happy Birthday to our sweet, adventurous, energetic, athletic, funny, lovable, no fear, brave, gentle little guy!!!! You are two today and we couldn’t imagine life without you. Thank you for bringing us double the smiles, double the love & double the wrinkles. We are so lucky you are OURS!"
